Just mentally thinking of what is in the freezer and what pantry and produce I have on hand. These might be unusual meals to some folks but it is, what it is.
What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?
Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten last week?
Any deals on food at your stores this week?
Sluggy
I love peanut butter, but even I didn't like those peanut puff things. The schnitzel, strudel etc are good. My husband loves the doppel keks cookies.
ReplyDeleteDespite a huge grocery shop, I have no ideas. I through Chili fixings in crockpot and will make rice and cornbread to go with it, so I e day solved. I need to cut back on carbs for myself though.
ReplyDeleteNo deals for me, but yes, my meal plans went well. This week is vegetable lasagne, salads, yogurt parfaits, and if I get ambitious, vegan chocolate pudding.
ReplyDeleteWe are eating up a massive amount of sliced turkey before it goes off. Plus, there is baked bscb, potatoes, carrots to either freeze or eat. We have been have chopped salad or bags of Romaine for salad. I will make coleslaw and sliced tomatoes, plus pimiento and cheese. Of course, there are apples, bananas, pineapple, and strawberries.
ReplyDeleteSome days, we need a dog.
ReplyDeleteWe have two more nights of Mexican lasagna and then I think it will be pasta salad for the rest of the week. Strawberries go on sale tomorrow so I’ll pick up the limit of 10 pounds. I bought 18 pounds during the last sale and ate all but a few that went to Dave. And a few bites for Daryl of course.
ReplyDeletePlease advise me what goes into a "Mexican Lasagna"? Tortillas instead of noodles, Monterey Jack and/or Cheddar instead of Mozz? Inquiring minds...
DeleteIt’s layers of tortillas, taco or enchilada sauce, black and pinto beans, salsa, can of corn. Cover the top layer of tortillas with sauce and cheese. I’ve added other ingredients when I have extra produce to use and it’s always been good.
