I do not want to eat watermelon with mustard on it. 😂 LOL
ReplyDeleteNo travel plans for us this summer, but we have been enjoying all the summer time fruits. Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Honeydew melon. All so delicious.
Good luck to everyone who enters!
You are dead to me....
ReplyDeleteI am entering immediately because of the fear of forced mustard and watermelon eating!
ReplyDeleteWe're still working on the pool foundation. It's been over a month and tons of sand but the stupid thing still isn't level.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Mustard on my watermelon....ewwwwww!!! I've done salt but don't think I would do mustard!!
ReplyDeleteSummer is....progressing. The garden is doing pretty well - have a TON of green-ish cherry tomatoes, tons of green beans, have gotten only 2 zucchini????, and FINALLY have 2 acorn squash starting. My strawberries are taking off all of of a sudden as are the peppers (bell & hot), but the many, many types of cucumbers I have are flowering like crazy but producing NO fruit - WTH?????
I’m just trying to stay cool! We aren’t taking a big vacation, so we’ve done a small day trip so far this summer. I am staying busy tackling organizational projects around the home. I have two more weeks to enjoy before school starts back. *sob*
ReplyDeleteMy project this summer is getting supplies to upholster the new seats for Tommy's chairs I got off the side of the road. The wood for the new seats was free. I am going to give the guy $20 for cutting the seats. I supplied the wood after a friend gave me the wood as he was building a new house. Hopefully, the batting and upholstery material will be nice and cheap.
ReplyDeleteOkay, summer, my dad was in the hospital and now he is home and I am his full time caregiver at the moment. He is a WW11 veteran. I'm trying to get some help from the VA. Lots of phone calls. So yeah, that's about it.
ReplyDeleteTons of tomatoes growing in my garden and finally got some bell peppers (my favorite) growing.
ReplyDeleteJess P
Our big project this summer was a bathroom redo. I am so glad it is done.

This summer is really racing by...guess we need to actually make some plans. But I've always enjoyed fresh strawberries and tomatoes straight from the vines.
ReplyDeleteHot and Humid as usual in Florida. Garden is going great with tomatoes out the wazoo! Diana
ReplyDeleteI tried grow bags this year since Dirty Daryl likes to roll in the garden beds. Some of the early girl tomatoes are already ripe but the roma tomatoes have blossom rot.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Going on a road trip in August but not ready to disclose where.
ReplyDeleteLast week I bravely went back into Giant Eagle after my cashier "forgot" to scan my coupons. You gave me that courage.
Thank you,
Amy
I had a surprise basil come up and found it today. So, big celebration here in the land of rain and humidity.
ReplyDeleteI am going to look for money at fast food places. I wish I had something sticky to pick it up.
ReplyDeleteMy part time landscaper is doing planti Gerryt merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteTrying to enjoy the summer despite all this rain!!

Summer is racing past. Im trying to reorder my life. Spending loads of time with my granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteI found a source of dropped money for you. My coworker and I stopped at Dairy Queen for lunch drive through. While paying at the window my change dropped. I opened the door to at least $2.00 or more in various change laying on the ground. Yes, it was sticky with spilled ice cream but hey its free money. I thought of you immediately lol.
The pool is finally set up and so far a few inches of water! I’m turning the hose off soon but will continue filling tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Our garden has been doing strange things this year. Lots of peas and green beans. Our tomatoes and peppers (which usually go gang-busters) have been a bust. Who knows?

Slight problem with the pool. One side is about 3 inches higher than the other. Dave wants to drain it and start over but I'm willing to risk it. It's going to be 88 for the next week so I'm filling it anyway! So if you never hear from me again I may have been involved in a pool collapse. :)
ReplyDeleteJen G.
It is raining almost nonstop here! I stepped out after dark to get the hummingbird feeders and it was gently raining. Most of the day it was in torrents! Now, the rain on me and the ac makes it feel like Fall is in the air.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on lesson plans for the fall. I'm even dreaming about lesson plans.

Since I just won a few months ago I am just commenting and letting someone else win. My granddaughter and her boyfriend of two years are coming next month for a week. We are in the fun planning stages of what we want to do. We are the first family members she is even introducing him to. She is a cautious girl. Or else she is worried we will scare him off. lol
ReplyDeleteThought I fixed the commenting problem by closing tabs but just received an error. Please delete if this is a duplicate.
ReplyDeletePretty much the pool saga continues. We didn’t buy chlorine tablets in advance and everywhere but the pool store is sold out. They’re charging $189 so I bought a 10 pack online for $50.

No travel plans since I have a diabetic cat now. She and her insulin wouldn't travel well so staycations it is.

We are headed to the Gulf for a family vacation later this summer. I'm trying to prepare and not drive everyone crazy doing it.
ReplyDeleteclarksrfun at gmail dot com
Our garden is doing meh. I guess there is always next year.
ReplyDeletelingerlonger8@gmail.com
I am headed to GA and SC to pick up things to move to DE for a friend and a puppy my same friend bought. A non-vacation vacation. Loads of driving and highways but off work for 3 days (5 w weekend)so there's that.
ReplyDeleteI am so ill that I need this...lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy we finally have some sunshine again. We have had sooo much rain. I am enjoying sitting on my deck.
ReplyDeleteBonnie
Pasta salad is my easy summer meal. No reheating necessary for lunch and it lasts all week. I also make it throughout the year when I'm feeling lazy.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Summer has been really hot here in northern Calif. Wish I had a swimming pool! Nothing special is going on, may take a short vacation, but if we don't that is o.k. too.
ReplyDeleteRain is the story here in AL. Short thunderstorms in the afternoons are pretty typical here in the summer, but we have had downpours for days on end.
ReplyDeleteclarksrfun at gmail dot com
Summer is flying by much too fast. I am enjoying the cool mornings and warm sunny days.
ReplyDeleteGEtting a real home office is my project, along it more purging. REally though, its cooking and eating down all the produce my daughter keeps bringing home.
ReplyDeleteI've been in the pool a few times now and it's still standing! The chlorine tablets have arrived so we just need to pick up some test strips this weekend.
