Who's ready for the Another Sluggy's Boring Blog Box Giveaway for 2022?!?
I missed a March giveaway as I wasn't home but half the month. Let's get back to it in April as these giveaways seem to be popular with some of my readers and keep me hanging in the BlogUniverse even when I am not inclined to. ;-)
It's a hodge-podge of randomness this month to win. Hair conditioner, vitamins, deodorant, travel bottles of toiletries(from my son's wedding), oral care stuff, makeup, eye drops(because allergy season is here), facial care masks, lip balm, candy, granola snacks, pretzels(from the flight into Houston), disinfecting wipes and a few coffee pods(another wedding freebie).
Let's take a look at what is in the Giveaway Box this month........
4 x Starlight mint candies
From all the VALID entries I receive I'll pick a winner at random and the winner has 48 hours from when the post goes live to contact me with their full mailing address.
In your entries I'd like to hear about your tips during inflationary times on how to make your income stretch. Any area is game....food, healthcare, cars, hobbies, standard bills, etc. We can all use a new way to cope with tips for our incomes that don't go quite so far lately.
If you are on my Giveaway emails list just leave a comment and your name(with last name initial please)to enter. If you aren't on the Giveaway emails list make sure you leave your email in your comment OR email me your email privately after you leave a comment(my email is in the side bar area under "About Me").
I'll leave this giveaway open until April 22nd Friday at 11:59 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time(EDST). I'll pick and post the winner on April 23rd, Saturday.
*Please note these rules*
I'll post the name/ID of the winners on this blog on and those persons have 48 hours from the time stamp on that post to contact me privately via email(my email addy is listed on my "About Me" page, as well as on my side bar).
Disclaimer--This giveaway is open to those with mailing addresses within the US only. As the cost of postage to foreign countries has gotten too high I am sorry to say I can no longer afford to mail boxes outside the US. These giveaways are not sponsored by any companies. I pay for it all(the cost of items given away and the postage to mail it all)out of my own pocket.
Please make sure there is a way for me to contact you in your comment.
If you're not a registered Blogger User with YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION on your User page, please put your email addy in your comment or email me your email addy privately when you leave a comment so I can get a hold of you. If your Blogger associated user profile is a GOOGLE one make sure your email info is linked to your profile.
So let's get this Giveaway started. Good luck to everyone!!!
I'm stocking up on things when I see a great price. I have also started trying to eat down our pantry and freezers. This way I'm not constantly buying things we don't necessarily need. Eating at home also saves money. I'm doing more reading. The library is free and there are also many free books offered through Kindle/Amazon daily. azuniga99(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteContinuing to eat out of the freezers and pantry. Shopping for meat is limited to the Meat Managers Bargain Bin (though even there some of the prices are breathtaking). Leftovers (AKA second helpings) are always part of the next day's meal plan.

Trying to limit trips in car with gas so high. Eating more meatless meals. Reading books on line. GerryT merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteWe’re driving less and walking more. Soon, i’ll be hanging clothes on the line which i love. I’d like to use the drying racks but husband is not a fan. Maybe he’ll change his mind if things get really ugly. Not frugal in the beginning but buying a quarter cow or half pig has been a huge help! I don’t eat meat so it lasts a long time. We tend to share with the family, too.

Trying to combine errands and doctor appointments to save gas. Eating out of pantry and freezer and using up all leftovers.

we are cooking more meatless meals and finding it very fun to experiment with new flavors!, my daughters are not picky and are at an age where they want to find new recipes and cook them, so win win!
ReplyDeletei love this question since i am always trying to find ways to be conscious of our resources
thanks

I have been trying really hard to eat less and also shop out of my pantry and freezer rather than go to the store. I am also bulk buying things like Gatorade because my son is in tennis season and it is so much more expensive to buy one or two at a time than 24 all at once.
ReplyDeleteBeing at home sick definitely saves money! LOL I did go out yesterday to the doctor because I had a fever and got antibiotics for my sinus infection. We combined that with a needed trip to the home improvement store to get more chicken wire to secure some areas in our fence so the critters can't get to our vegetable plants! Running errands all at one time saves lots of gas when you live a little ways from town! hrmarino61@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteWearing clothes more than once if not dirty.Gerry T. merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteDuring the winter I use clothes racks instead of the dryer and it helps to keep the electric bill low. I look forward to hanging clothes outside on the line soon.

eliminating soda and juices from the grocery list for a while, more water and milk, i believe is better for our health!

Shopping for clothes at places like walmart. Gerry T. merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteWith gas prices so high I like to plan my trips out. And I'm shopping closer to home.
ReplyDeletei am baking some of our bread, its super fun and healthier i believe, i love it and the smell in the house is sooo good!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Easter!,

Buying modest easter presents instead of blow out gifts. Gerry T. merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteIf your 60 or older see what programs your local government's Dept. of Aging might have. My county has a program that twice a year you can purchase a grocery gift card for half price. You can buy either a $20, $40 or $60 card for half the face value. This is NOT an income based program. The requirements are you must be 60+, a county resident and attend a short nutrition presentation at the time the cards are distributed. They rotate the participating store every 6 months; this time it's for Safeway. The presentation and card distribution is every other month and you're contacted after filling out an online form.
ReplyDeleteI just signed up and am hoping that there's availability for the next time in June. A half price gift card combined with shopping the sales and loss leaders could really stretch your money!
Carpooling for some activities is a great idea, we are trying to do it as much as possible now
ReplyDeletehappy Monday!
Martha
Buying gift cards ahead for birthdays and Christmas whenever the grocery stores are offering extra gas reward points. With gas prices the way they are any discount at the pump helps.
ReplyDeleteinspiring by your blog i went i tried to find generic for an allergy medicine my daughter takes, and I found it, 20% the price!, here is hoping it works the same!

Plan ahead for purchases rather than buying last minute. Gerry T. merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteOur library offers not only books but boardgames and video games for lease, we are loving the opportunity of trying them out before we commit to buying them, most of the time after playing the games for a while my daughters decide they dont want to buy them, and i love that they are able to recognize that we shouldnt spend the money if we are not going to use the game!
ReplyDeleteMartha
we are reviewing insurance cost and if we are able to bundle car and house insurance, trying to save money there!
ReplyDeletethanks

Winning your giveaway vitamins rather than buying some would be frugal. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeletewe just ordered glasses from this website and it was super economical, (zenni glasses) it ended up being 40 something dollars instead of the +100 the eye doctor was charging!
ReplyDeletehappy Friday
Martha
My housemate is making me a birthday cake next week rather than buying one. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteSaving on gas by bundling our errands into one big loop instead of several individual trips.

Checking the sticker to see when my car needed an oil change before my trip, I discovered the place where I get it done offers free fluid top offs. My washer fluid low level light had just come on so swung by and had them top off my fluids before my trip at no cost to me. Saved me buying washer fluid. I also was offered complimentary coffee, bottled water or juice while I waited!
