What question did you want to ask us all. Love to win. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this to treat myself! I had back surgery in December and it has been a slow road. I am just now caring if I have my hair combed more less caring about anything else! My co-workers may appreciate this more than me even!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteDiana
Woo hoo, baby Snickers! Count me in!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what we are commenting on as it looks like it cut off one of your sentences so I will just comment on how I am making it through the year so far. Gas and grocery prices have gone up around here but luckily we have a stocked pantry and I shop the deals, ads and freebies. We just sold our small chest freezer on FB Market Place for 160.00 yeasterday. We got an up right one for a good price at a used appliance store a few months ago. The lady was very happy to have it and I won't have any fear of falling in it trying to get to the bottom now. lol. Take care.
ReplyDeleteAnother giveaway!! Yeah! But not sure what you want to know. But I am loving the Snicker bars!!!
ReplyDeleteYou said caffeine-and chocolate so you knew I had to enter. I hope you though just enjoy this special time in your son's life, and with your family.
ReplyDeleteWe are trying to use more of our stockpiled items and continue to shop loss leaders to combat rising prices. Thanks for another great give away!
ReplyDeleteBonnie S
One of the ways I'm stretching my budget in these times is to shop the loss leaders on Senior discount day so I save am additional 5%.
ReplyDeleteno coupons, no rebate for buying stuff as not much if any works in this area. DO check sales for what is ALREADY on the list. Growing more in the gardens and Hubby will be reminding Amish we are on the look out for fruit that we are not growing or won't be ready to harvest this year. We have a butcher shop that local farmers supply. That leaves dairy products. Might end up getting a share of a cow to get regular milk supply.
ReplyDeleteInflation is scary! Especially if you are single and either near retirement or retired. Thankfully I have always shopped the cheaper stores and looked for the bargains.
ReplyDeleteHappy upcoming wedding. Weddings are fun but a lot of work! lol. Enjoy your family and this special time. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI am working on using up my stock piled items more then waiting for sales to restock. Hopefully retiring in a few months so trying to get things lined up for that.
ReplyDeleteDiana
I try to buy meats that are on sale, or better yet, yellow-sticker-mark-down. I plan meals around that. Thanks for the give away! --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteSo do people come back and enter multiple times? I guess I am because you popped up in my feed again!
ReplyDeleteHow am I combating inflation - I shop the sales, don't over buy, meatless meals, and stretching my meals as much as I can.
ReplyDeleteLove me some snickers. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteI am trying (again, and harder) not to waste anything. Otherwise, if I see something on sale that I know we like, and use regularly, I ALWAYS buy at least three. That's the only way I can ensure it will be there for future use.
ReplyDeleteAnother big help: the groceries offered on Amazon Warehouse. They're often marked down -- and just fine, even when they're starting to go out of date.
We always focus our meals around what we have and loss leaders/ deals / dig coupons. I stock up on things we use a lot at great prices. Just went through my freezer and 2 pantry areas to make sure all was rotating well and see if I forgot anything.
ReplyDeleteJust hit up DG for some 5 off 25 deals and didn't do the deal because the store was not stocked with the items that I wanted. Definitely using coupons and keeping a bit of a stockpile. Pjames330 at aol dot com
ReplyDeleteAnother grocery hack, buy food that makes you feel fool, and you won't need as much. I have been finding if I eat healthy fats, complex carbs, and lean protein, I feel full and satisfied.
ReplyDeleteSoups and use it up meals or fend for yourself with leftovers meals are a regular go to around here.
ReplyDeleteToday, I finished up all my leftovers. No food waste. Learning to be creative with what I have. Okay, onto better things, like all those lovely Snickers!
ReplyDeleteCoke has coffee. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteIt still amazes me the things that aren't on the shelves. We are so spoiled with having so many choices and everything always available. It does scare me at times but I am learning to pick up items when I run across them and to adapt when I can't find what I am really wanting. We will survive!
ReplyDeleteI am the queen of freezing portions of meals for a second easy meal for one. (since my husband and I eat so differently) I also share with our son as he likes home cooked and is working 6 nights a week. Pro Tip: save cottage cheese container and other disposable containers for your son's / kids. If the containers are too good they keep them and if they can toss it's a bonus for them and not having to wash it. I just gave up on getting back good containers and solved that problem. lol.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win. Gerry T merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how empty my fridge looks. I don't it has ever been this bare. Still dreaming about those Snickers
ReplyDeleteTommy has learned to search all the ads for loss leaders. I buy what we use of those loss leaders, often ignoring anything else in the store. One thing I bought at the regular price is very low and I do not expect it to stay at $0.98 for long--Hunt's diced petite tomatoes. I use it in soup.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to purposely have at least one meatless meal per week. While it is meatless I am also trying to make sure it healthy and not just a bag of cookies for supper!
ReplyDeleteDiana
I write out a list of meals from the freezer, pantry, refrig that I want to make for a week or two. No dates just try to use perishables first and then after that I just pick what sounds good that day off the list. All ingredients are on hand.
ReplyDeleteMeatless meals, leftovers
ReplyDeleteWe stretch our grocery dollars by shopping the loss leaders and the meat manager's bargain bin. Meatless meals and leftovers are also a regular part of our menu. Would love me some Snickers....
ReplyDeleteWe have been dealing with sickness and needs with my in-laws for a month. During that time there has been far too many fast food meals. We want to get back to more home cooking and vegetables, and saving a buck or two. Even cheap fast food adds up in a hurry. Thanks for the giveaway! --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteMore meatless meals GerryT. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteNot only food is expensive, but utilities have gone up!
ReplyDeleteI prep our veggies and fruit if it's appropriate and we seem more inclined to eat it and not let it go bad. Plus prepped veggies are easier to steam, pan fry or use in recipes.
ReplyDeleteTry really hard not to waste food. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteYou had my attention at the mention of Snickers! We are eating more meatless meals. Even the items in the Meat Managers Discount Bin are expensive these days.
ReplyDeleteLingerlonger8@gmail.com
I check the sale papers, especially for weekend specials and meat sales. They have certainly been lacking of late. Thanks! --Angie O
ReplyDeleteReally working hard to make my food stretch thru the week. Not a lot of good sales, or if there is a 'sale' it's not a great bargain. Kind of pathetic
ReplyDeleteWhen the above mentioned tips have been done, I pretty much bury my head in the sand and buy the groceries anyway! Thanks. --Angie O
ReplyDeleteI used my stimulus money to buy and upright freezer so I could buy meat on sale, store bread bought at bread store, and freeze fruits and vegetables, to store cooked proteins so that we had a few meals ready to eat. I love my freezer!
ReplyDeleteEating more veggies. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Angie O! Girl, I am right there with you. I wonder how much longer will this last.
ReplyDeleteUsing lots of kitchen helpers. Especially my air fryer and crockpot. They help with the work.
ReplyDelete@Crystal - The crockpot is my number one kitchen helper, and an egg cooker from Dash to make hard-boiled eggs. I always have a few on hand to eat.
ReplyDeleteTommy went out on Friday to see how gas prices were. He bought gas for $3.12 and the next day, gas was $3.39.
ReplyDeleteI'm making sure to look for bargains at non-grocery stores that carry food such as Big Lots and Target.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to stretch my March Budget by winning this February Give Away! :) Thank you! --Angie O
ReplyDeleteWatching clearance, ads, dig. coupons and sales. Always trying to combine these things to get the things we use at the best price. If it is an excellent price on a product we use we stock up! I pick up every freebie I can because I give food to multiple people on a regular basis. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMaking the last entry for this give-away. I look forward to the day I won't have to worry about pinching pennies when I'm debt free. I'll still be frugal to the best of my ability.
