Sluggy
Umm...not sure I should put this in writing but I HAVE contemplated murder.....I really, really, REALLY, need DH and DS to go back to work. There are signs they may be opening up but no clue when right now. DS works for Amazon and has been off on medical leave because he has lupus and they have had 3 cases in their warehouse. He was about to go back when another case just showed up so now has to wait to hear from the doctor whether he can go back now or not.
ReplyDeleteNo real travel plans except to maybe visit DD in Seattle but we are doing major work around the house, so that probably won't be for a couple of months at least.
Sue L.
Oh Sluggy, I feel like I have been alone forever! My divorce (after 40+ years) was final in January (he went crazy) and just as I was starting to adjust to hanging out with friends the lockdown occurred. You would think that would give me a good reason to do stuff around the house. Alas, I haven't been good at it. My Sunday School class is starting to meet this Sunday and I think I may hug and kiss every one of them!!!
ReplyDeleteStill cannot find rubbing alcohol. Finally found alcohol wipes. Drinking alcohol is in abundance though. For the price of the wipes, I probably could have bought a bottle of drinking alcohol and had the same results.
ReplyDeleteNo big plans for June. Cases are really spiking in our area, so we're spending just as much time at home now as we were two months ago. It's definitely starting to wear on me!
ReplyDeleteAnd WOW I would love to win those Clorox wipes! Our stores have been out since March!
No travel plans in the foreseeable future so I ordered a pool from Amazon. Aside from virus concerns I also have to give Zima the diabetic cat insulin shots twice a day. She hates car rides so it looks like we’ll be staying close to home for a few years.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Awesome give away but I won't enter this time and give others more chances to win. I love all the items you put together. My husband is still talking about the one I won.lol He loved the candies and couldn't believe all the stuff fit in the package.
ReplyDeleteIn June I have to make 2 trips to pick up show rams for my daughters flock. Also need to keep the garden going with weeding, spraying and general maint. Elsewhere I have flower beds I need to keep up on with watering, weeding and transplanting. I am not traveling or going many places yet. DE is opening phase 2 June 15th. I am staying put though in my own lil world.
ReplyDeleteNo plans for june. RI is on phase 1 so some resturants are open. TP is still not always in all stores. The famous 4th of july a activities will probably be in August. Am rather tired of masks but still wear one. Gerry T. merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteNo travel plans for this summer or for the rest of the year for that matter. The store shelves are looking better everyday around here. Nice change from the bare shelves a couple of months ago. Suzanne
ReplyDeleteLingerlonger8@gmail.com
Beautiful low humidity day here in the Atlanta area. Doing a little work outside this evening before the mosquitoes get me.
ReplyDeleteI still can't find Clorox wipes in stores, so I'd love to win this.

Upper East TN is opening up some, so my extended in-law family will be celebrating a big birthday for my FIL. He turned 85 in early April, but we couldn't gather then. In an unusual turn, the party is not at my house. Now I have little motivation to clean and purge. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe're doing some midweek camping next week...we have a self-contained tiny trailers and looking forward to some lowkey time in nature :)
ReplyDeleteDebbie sdelar(at) frontiernet(dot) net
Plans for June are not too exciting... I'm continuing to work on projects since we can't really socialize here ( :
ReplyDeleteBonnie
Gardening, gardening and gardening.
ReplyDeleteI am just going to keep on with my amazing and exciting life in June just like I did in May. No need to change perfection, right?
ReplyDeleteI am just puttering and watching my garden. I need to plant tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteWe had to cancel our trip to London/Paris - I know my husband has been looking to reschedule, but I'm not ready! Happy to live where we do and to have our beautiful pool to escape to. Still walking 4-5 miles a day, but now adding 50-100 laps to my routine.
ReplyDeleteI did travel to Georgia the last of May to see my kids and grandkids - couldn't take it any longer. I have no family to speak of in Indiana. I have another trip booked the end of August - round trip was $98!! I may attend our church family camp if it actually gets to happen but don't have any other plans for a "big" vacation.
ReplyDeleteContemplating murder... Bahahahahaha! So true...hehehe.
ReplyDeletePlease don't enter me in the drawing, as I have won before and want someone else to experience your generosity. I just wanted to comment on your post. Good luck to all those entering. :)
Just received a notification that the pool is arriving today. I assumed it would be next week so we are not prepared. Weekend will be spent applying for the permit and setting up the foundation.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Our state has begun opening up (groups of 25 or more are allowed, outdoor tables at restaurants are allowed), but not much will change for me, I’m afraid.
ReplyDeleteHanging out with the one grandbaby I can see.
ReplyDeleteI made Strawberry Freezer Jam yesterday.. such a treat to have in the winter when it is snowing outside!
ReplyDeleteBonnie
Lots of fire pits and smores are going to be happening in June. NY is starting to open up again but we are be very careful until my daughter's wedding in July.
ReplyDeleteLots of things have opened up here. Except for Disney. That should be happening next month and it will be by reservation.
ReplyDeleteI had been doing really well with not getting tired of my family, but I'm getting worn down this week. KIDS ARE LOUD!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewe are planning to stay put at home until we feel is ok to venture out. for now, the yard seems fun enough to enjoy the summer!
ReplyDeleteMartha
I can't find rubbing alcohol here, either.
ReplyDeleteMarie
Mgaltier(at)yahoo.com
We love to take a family beach trip in the fall, but we will wait another month or so to see how it's going before making a decision. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, yes I am sick of certain people in my house. Of course I didn't have fond thought of this person before quarantine so there is that. I have planned the perfect crime in my head also. I'll bet every criminal has said the same thing, lol.
ReplyDeleteNormally, we’d be at the public pool several days a week. Kiddo has settled for running through the sprinkler. I have a big roll of landscape plastic and will make him a slip and slide this weekend. I’ve had to work at the shop through the pandemic, no chance to get sick of the fam! vanessabrown76 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWe have no plans for travel. I cannot find wipes. Everything else is here.
ReplyDeleteThe giveaway looks fantastic! I could use the wipes. Sign of the times that disinfectant wipes are what everyone looks at first. Will that ever change?
ReplyDeleteThe FedEx delivery was dog food, not the pool. The Amazon seller is being weird. Said it shipped Monday but gave a tracking number of all zeros. I asked for a valid tracking number yesterday and received a credit today. I have a feeling that pool is not going to ship since sellers are now doubling the price.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
We don't have yeast in our stores here, either.
ReplyDeleteMarie

Working on restoring the finish on an antique desk in this perfect weather.
ReplyDeleteBonnie
Rain, rain and more rain. The weeds in my flower beds will be knee high by the time the ground dries out enough to do some gardening clean-up.
ReplyDeleteWe painted the shed the same color that we got on the house last year. Better late then never.
ReplyDeleteProcuring hand sanitizer is still a bit iffy in East TN. You have to get to Wally World bright and early. Clorox Wipes still aren't to be found. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGranddaughter who is 21 is coming on the 14th of July and staying until the 21st. I have missed her so much. She wants to see us and of course her dad who moved here from out of state in March and is now working at a restaurant here in town. Both my boys in the area and now a visit from granddaughter. I am so happy. Now if I could just see my mom. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI need all that stuff in the box! Erase this message if Tommy ends up dead from and unfortunate accident.
ReplyDeleteToilet paper, whole wheat pasta, and cleaning wipes are still in short supply around here.
ReplyDeleteOur small, immediate family is having a cook out today. We are blessed to get to see them frequently during this time.
ReplyDeleteI plan to eat tmotoes from my garden in June.
ReplyDeleteSince our big travel plans are off the table, we've been doing lots of small day trips. We're going hiking the afternoon. Helps keep the cabin fever at bay!
ReplyDeleteCasinos are open now - we all know how essential they are. lol. Supposed to have plexiglas in casino restaurants between booths but you still have the same server and cooks so how safe is that. Also every other slot machine is turned off to promote distancing. Yet the parking lots are packed so where are all the people going when they get into the casino. If anything spreads it here I will bet it will be casinos.
ReplyDeleteAnd you still can't go to Church unless you have no more than 50.
No fall travel planned here ...but sometime, when I can, I will travel to meet newly discovered first cousin, who is unfortunately on the other side of the country.
ReplyDeleteI havent been shopping too much. Some pastas have been low but i have enough stockpiled. Not much selection in canned goods but I rarely use them. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWorking on sealing our countertops.. uugh.. ready for fun instead of all these projects!
ReplyDeleteBonnue
Tofu is still hit or miss. Sometimes it’s fully stocked, other times it’s spicy orange only. I found a bag of Morning Star chicken strips buried in the freezer so finally made “chicken” and dumplings today. Those have also been out of stock for months.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
We went for a walk in the park yesterday. That was fun.
ReplyDeleteMarie

NJ is taking another step toward opening up as of today .... houses of worship (with restrictions), for ex. The level of infection is staying flat, so it seems appropriate. I think hair salons will also be opening. Like everyone else, I really need a haircut but don’t know how that can be done safely.
ReplyDeleteAnother exciting day of deep cleaning ( :. I'm so tired of projects and ready for some fun!!!
ReplyDeleteBonnie
making our back yard a fun place!, we added a fire pit and my daughters are having a blast
ReplyDeleteMartha
marthicafer at gmail dot com
thanks!!
Of to work this morning. Medical work is essential work. Still trying to stock up for the next wave just in case. Deals are a bit harder to find but doing the best I can. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI’m finding some weird stuff in the pantry since I’ve started doing every other week shopping. They must have been free Friday downloads from Kroger at some point. Today it was a graham cracker pie crust and vanilla pudding mix with best by dates in 2018. They looked fine so I mixed it o with some coconut and manager’s special flax milk. The flax milk sucks so I have it in the freezer firming up.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Need to see if salons are open. Have to much gray. Gerry T merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteTechnically our state is opening back up but cases are skyrocketing so things are dicey. We live in a small town where the hospital only has two ventilators so we really can't handle a surge like the one we're experiencing. So yeah, we're staying home.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to maybe travel to Kentucky sometime around Labor Day if things calm down. I haven't been there in a few years and I have a few cousins I would like to catch up with. We will see if the virus is behaving itself by then :)
ReplyDeletewe cannot find yeast here either!, I might try the supermarket tomorrow to see if I get lucky
ReplyDeleteMartha
at marthicafer at gmail dot com
thanks!!
Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to work I go. My schedule hasn't changed except to get busier in the last few months. Our state is in Phase 2 of opening. The Phase where it seems like stupid things are allowed to open and others not. Small business is suffering so much.
ReplyDeleteI mentioned that we're doing lots of small trips around here instead of big travel plans. We've had a great time hiking close to home - we even found a new trail we didn't know existed, only about 10 minutes from home. Glad there's plenty to do around here because it seems like it might be awhile before we fly again!
ReplyDeleteMy flavors of boxed wine and Vitamin Water have been scarce or nonexistent at the Kroger near my house. I checked the one near campus that everyone calls Kro-ghetto and found tons of both! I may have to go back and check for tofu and fake meat stuff.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Clorox wipes would be nice to win. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteMy book club met outside last night and it was so wonderful to just talk to people, in a circle.
ReplyDeleteI want the Clorox wipes, Gerry! I think I want yeast, but have not looked.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful day for reading on the deck today!
ReplyDeleteBonnie
I am so ready to travel to somewhere! I may just pack up the car and head out to Kentucky to visit long lost relatives. Can't wait for this lockdown to be over!
ReplyDeleteClorox wipes are also hard to find!, and for some reason iced tea is MIA from the supermarket!
ReplyDeleteMartha
marthicafer at gmail dot com
The weather here is really hot and humid, but the garden is producing tomatoes & cukes, so it's not all bad.
ReplyDeleteMarie
mgaltier(at)yahoo.com
Hair salons are opening on Monday here!! Boy do I need that.
ReplyDeleteHoping our crazy weather will settle down soon. It swings so wildly that you'd think it was a child throwing a temper tantrum. lol
ReplyDeleteI have a new technique for the “chicken” and dumplings. We always eat all the dumplings and then have quite a bit of the plain soup part left. This time I made extra dough and added it for lunch today. We like a bowl with four large dumplings each.
ReplyDeleteI kind of forget what I’m supposed to be adding as a comment so this will have to do! My brain is broken from slackers taking advantage of work from home rules. 😒
Jen G.
Another beautiful day. Still looking for disinfecting wipes and gloves.
ReplyDeleteWe had been struggling to find tahini for months and we really want to make hummus. Well, a new health food store opened up in town and they had it! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteNo one to kill around my house :) I am glad that some outside community events are starting to take place. I plan on enjoying the sunshine and a huge breaded tenderloin on Saturday at a car show.
ReplyDeleteI finally found bleach wipes at WalMart!
ReplyDeleteMarie
mgaltier(at)yahoo.com
one thing that is hard to find around here is inflatable pools!, can you believe that?
ReplyDeleteMartha
marthicafer at gmail dot com
Practical we can throw a coin for the wipes if I win. Gerry T. merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteOne thing we can't find here...is a SWINGSET! We would like to get one for our kids since we're home so much but they're sold out everywhere! Wild.
ReplyDeleteThe whole Covid thing has been good for companion animals. I really missed having a dog, but the local shelters did not many - it seems I was not the only one with that thought!
ReplyDeleteNo travel plans but I have way too much PTO and there’s a limit on how much I can carry over at the end of the year. Work is crazy at the moment but I’d like to take a week off and do nothing.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
We will gather with my extended in-laws to celebrate an 85th birthday. There will be the option to visit outside, if weather permits. No other big plans for June.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful sunny d
ReplyDeleteWe can find most items at the stores now. Some stores are still limiting TP, paper towels, wipes. But most grocery items are not limited. But they have gone up in price! Yikes.
ReplyDeleteI think we're going to go for a walk in the park tonight.
ReplyDeleteMarie
mgaltier(at)yahoo.com
No travel plans in the foreseeable future, but we're trying to do fun stuff around here to keep our kids entertained. Planning to go through the drive through for ice cream tonight!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful day on the deck...socially distant chatting with my friend!
ReplyDeleteBonnie
I think my dreams of a pool for summer have been dashed by a bad Amazon seller. But my nice neighbors stuck a ladder over the fence separating our yards and said we can use their pool. Kind of awkward but but it will be in the 90s so guess I’ll be climbing over.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
We will be in phase 3 on june 29th almost normal
ReplyDeleteGerry T. merlinsfamily@outlook.com
We aren't going into stores and restaurants very often. Tomorrow we will be going to a drive by anniversary. Just unusual times.
ReplyDeleteanother day in social isolation!, still no sight of yeast around here. Besides that we can find all products at the supermarket. i am still trying to get a Nintendo Switch but they seemed to be Out of stock at all our stores!
ReplyDeleteMartha
marthicafer at gmail dot com
I'm going to small pool party today.
ReplyDeleteMarie
mgaltier(at)yahoo.com
I am actually not sure what things are not available here. I know a lot of things are semi-sold out. I had to buy expensive hand soap because that was all that was left. And a lot of things are limited to one per person.
ReplyDeleteIt's Saturday! Oh the fun. Preparing potato salad, baked beans and deviled eggs. Will see what else is in the works for a veggie dish. Probably having a BBQ tomorrow. Not sure yet. I just want some food to eat. lol.
ReplyDeleteIt is 88 today and muggy. GerryT. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteAmazon now says the pool is running late and will be delivered June 20-25. I don’t believe it so bought an $8 plastic kiddie pool. Everything else is sold out around here. Now I’m kind of tempted to buy a boat.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
I live in IN and we started opening up slowly on the 15th but with social distance. Since being home for so long I have started cooking more, cleaning and sewing. I pick up change when I see it! judyk2310@gmail.com Thanks for the giveaway whether I win or not. You'll make someone happy!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo big plans yet. I've been trying to do a lot of coupon matching to create a stock pile. Doing some cleaning and home improvements around the house.
ReplyDeleteAmy’s roasted vegetable pizza is finally back in stock for the first time since March. Some other random things are still missing. Today it was diet cherry 7 Up and puff corn delites. I was in a junk food mood but denied for both.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
No travel plans yet, but our state is pretty much fully opened up now. Noticing more paper products in the stores, thankfully, but tracking down disinfectants is harder. Never imagines my 2020 would be playing out like this, but just rolling with it! readwritemomblog@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteSince I live in a county that has people not following the rules, we are finally going to green this coming Friday. Which means my hubby and I go back to work and my son goes back to class (in some way.) Murder? No but a couple more weeks and maybe. Basically we ran out of things to do and are just getting on each others nerves.
ReplyDeleteMy big plans include a couple more household projects and adding to my stockpile.
Amy cheapohmom921@gmail.com
We are doing spring/summer cleaning!
ReplyDeletePaula
charlestongirl001@yahoo.com
Today we will have a cookout with just our kids/spouses/grandkids. We love that we still get to see them often during these odd times. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have been weeding every day and I'm sick of it. Why do weeds grow faster then everything else?
ReplyDeleteCan't remember whether I added my email address: bobbiejjj@aol.com
ReplyDeleteBeautiful day here - both boys coming over for dinner for Father's Day. Oldest son is vegetarian so making pasta primavera (with chicken on the side for son #2).
We're grilling for my dad today for Father's Day.
ReplyDeleteMarie

Another beautiful sunny day here! Made an apple pie for Father's Day ( :
ReplyDeleteBonnie
Still searching for whatever deals I can find on items we use. Think we should all get hair cuts, doctor visits, dental visits, eye appt.s any thing you need to have done- get it done now and keep up with things. Since they have locked it all down once it will just be easier for them to do it the next time.
ReplyDeleteHope your va trip is going well. Gerry T . Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteEverything is pretty much open and stocked. The prices are crazy high! This pandemic and other stuff that's going on is driving me to drink!!! Happy Days! Good Times!! Sigh!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not out and about much more, but just being putside is wonderful!
ReplyDeletePick me!! A lot of this can go with my granddaughter to IU this fall!! Thanks
ReplyDeleteOur numbers keep rising, we don't have any plans to travel in July, I can't find bread flour in the stores so I ordered it from Walmart online. I ordered yeast from Amazon, and with my new to me (thrift store find $5) bread machine, I am going to make bread.
ReplyDelete
