Last week saw 6 nights of home cooked dinners, 0 nights of leftovers and 1 night of Take-Out.
Nobody was feeling Subway so we got Chinese instead on the night Hubs wasn't home for dinner.
I made 1 trip to the Weis Markets for $32.93, a trip to Price Chopper for $52.49 and a trip to Maine Source for $53.33, which all totaled came to $138.75 OOP. This brings my June food spending total to $535.03. There are 0 days left in the month.
My savings percentages last week was 52.41% which brings the month's percentage to 66.16%.
Leftovers going into this week.......zuke in sauce, rice, corn casserole, salmon, stir-fry veggies, chicken Marsala w/fettuccine and mushrooms.
We've got lots of bits and bobs of leftovers. With Hubs home now for lunch during the week I don't foresee anything NOT being eaten. ;-)

Here is this week's "food plan"....
* Denotes "complicated" meals
This week will see 5 new meals cooked, 2 nights of leftovers and 0 night of Take-Out/Eating-Out. Daughter is cooking again this Saturday and I've got no clue what she wants to prepare.
What I need to buy for this menu? Ground Beef for hamburgers and hot dog chili, Cole slaw mix, buns and rolls, maybe a bell pepper and celery(the mac salad). I am sure Hubs will want to pick up beer for the cook-out too.

What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?
Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten last week?
Any great deals on food at your stores this week?

Your first sentence in this post was hilarious. Maybe he will want to get a part-time job to get away...lol.
ReplyDeleteYour shadow is better looking. Does his shadow have a beer can?
ReplyDeleteThe 24/7 togetherness is something that you will need some time with. I now work with hubby at home so we are together 24/7. I make lots of errand trips/thrift store trips for "me" time.
ReplyDeleteDoes having a shadow all the time mean help with the daily household chores? If so I might take it in a snap (or maybe not)
ReplyDeleteHope you both enjoy retirement and are hitting the road (both the real road the the metaphorical one) to continuous adventures.
