It's the "Struggling to Feel Better" Edition--
Lots of activity last week and Hubs was feeling under the weather by last Sunday night. Of course by Thursday I was also feeling sick(head cold/sinus)....thanks Hubs!
While it didn't get so bad I resorted to eating Jello this time(old photo reused)this gives you an idea of how much I got done later in the week.

What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?
Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten that week?
Any great deals on food at your stores this week?

Stop snogging with your old man and you won't get his cold!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be spending this lovely week sorting and stocking up the college boy here. Sigh. Its not a fun job!!!
Heading out soon to finich the purchasing of crap for my college boy.
ReplyDeleteDo I sound excited or what?
Sorry you are krank as my father used to say. I am also a little under the weather. Did we get together and I not know it?
ReplyDeleteWell so far on my grocery list I have coffee, ice cream and spinach. Doesn't that sound like an appetizing meal? We're having turkey wraps tonight but no ice cream for dessert since it's pouring and thundering and lightning outside. Even I can wait one more day to buy ice cream.....maybe.....
ReplyDeleteWell, Hubby and I are hitting the road tomorrow to go spend time with my mom. That will entail some meals out, but Hubby has been planning what food to take. We will also take his camping hotplate and a couple of pots to cook in the hotel room. We will be back and forth to the hospital and hotel and once Mom is home, we will be staying in a hotel as other family members will be at Mom and Dad's house. We were offered non-hotel lodging, but Hubby will be more comfy in a hotel and there is one not too far away.
ReplyDeleteLast night was a wienie night at Costco (please don't judge, we are still stove-less for a few more days). Tonight a stouffers pasta meal that is one of the few things I can whip up on our griddle. I am so tired of BBQing everything. Not sure for the next 3 days - Wednesday our floors get ripped out and Thursday our floors get put in so likely we will have to eat out those 2 days due to total chaos. Friday I will actually try cooking again. I might call Mom and make her invite us over - but the problem is we are supposed to get really hot weather tomorrow four a couple of days so it is pretty unlikely she will want to cook as she has no AC. Flying by the seat of our pants!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you have been under the weather. Hope this week is better for you.
ReplyDeleteI really do admire your ability to plan and stick mostly to your meal plan. I still have the "how do I know what I want for supper until time to cook" disorder and have only partially solved it by taking 3 things (beef, chicken, pork) out of the freezer and defrosting them all. Day 1 I pick what I am in the mood for, day 2 I choose from the remaining choices and day 3 I have to wing it with whatever is left, whether I want it or not.
