The chicken didn't happen(too many leftovers to use up)so it got shoved into the freezer for later.

What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?
Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten that week?
Any great deals on food at your stores this week?

Christmas Eve-turkey breast from crockpot, dressing from a box, corn I froze, green beans from can, either mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes (maybe both), homemade gravy. While I have water, I have no hot water, making washing dishes complicated. NO, plumber admitted he broke it and no one from the company will come back.
ReplyDeleteI managed to save almost $40 on store specials and discounted foods on my monthly trip to Krogers. I couldn't discipline myself to make 4 trips to 2 stores a week! But I am having a small steak one night, ham (glazed with brown sugar and pineapple), baked potato, broccoli with cheese sauce, and rolls for Christmas dinner - with an apple cake with caramel frosting for dessert! I also got a small pork tenderloin on sale for one night, and shrimp for steaming for another. I will be making lasagne one night, too. Lots of leftovers!
