I am so glad you are feeling better. I desperately need about half those items. I am filling a box to give away to people leaving a drug rehab who will have nothing to start their new apartment.

  3. Best of luck to all who enter! Bailey asked me if you knew the shower cap you sent us had the F word on it and I said I didn’t know. She wears it in the shower proudly every night. Bahahaha! 😂

  4. How fun... I love a good contest! Recently I met a lovely lady at Costco who was having difficulty getting her items from the tall stacks, down into her scooter. We chitchatted our way around the store gathering things for her and for myself. She was tickled someone would take the time to chat, while I was thrilled to help another!

  7. I tell people they look nice and they really appreciate it. It's such a small thing to do to make someone's day.

  8. You would have to ask people around me what, if anything I did to make their lives better. But you have to remember I have a black heart.

  9. This is not an entry since I already won. I think this is the essence of your being, giving things away. I hope this brings you all the way back. We have a charity nearby that supports people living in tents. I have been going through all my drawers to find things to donate. Although I still like Salvation Army, this group has volunteers that pick up donations. I don't drive anymore, so this is a plus.

  10. I bought school supplies to share with someone. I always buy a Hot Wheel car to go with the supplies. I have plenty of items to share with a little girl.

  12. Today I gave my cart to someone at Aldi. It's only a quarter, but people smile when you just give it to them!

  13. Today I helped a friend with her daughter's birthday party. A lot of lugging chairs here and there... but I know she appreciated the extra hands.

  15. I recently bought school supplies to donate to a local school. Since I'm no longer working in education (and miss it a little), it made me feel like I was still a small part of it all.

  16. I get up extra early to watch my grandkids and get them up for school and daycare when their parents start work at 6 am. I also watch them on weekends if DIL works (nurse) and son has small landscaping jobs he does on the side. Does this count;) ?

  18. School has started here. I talked with three separate little boys about reading and how important it is, "the most important thing you will ever learn." I recommended a book for them, the book that convinced my son he liked to read. He is now an English teacher.

  19. I am in the planning stage of acquiring many copies of a certain book to supply to boys stalling on reading. My sone read it and is now an English teacher. Little boys, their mothers, and their grandmothers are thanking me.
