This Week on the Dining Table.....Feb. 23 to Mar. 1

The "Back to Meal Planning" Edition........I've been bad and not meal planning.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying this stout I saw at Trader Joe's after Xmas of 2023.

It's a play on the winning entry of a contest to name a ship if you never heard of it.....

Just trying to eat down what is here when I'm not getting great deals.  I chose my meals by cherry picking the deals and building meals around those items, combined with what is in my freezer.
What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?

Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten last week?

  1. Hey! You are back! Good. It seemed for a while it was closed/only open to invitation - or was this Blogger pulling tricks on me?

  3. When I saw the L in leftovers for the meal plan of the week, my mind filled in the blanks and "saw" Liver. It almost made my brain shut down and my body shudder.

  4. I think you did really well this past week! I had a BLT also, rare steak that I cut up and used over three meals, mushrooms , mustard greens soup, baked potatoes, tomato and cheese sandwich, sardines, blackberries which I got at Publix three small containers for $5, etc. I think lunch was mostly turkey or roast beef and cheese sandwiches on sourdough bread., cheesecake … lol. 5. Sluggy,
That is how I plan meals. This week there were few deals except at Publix.

  6. Now I have the flu so it’s a Sluggy-esque non meal plan around here. I had a Now Cow bar but it made me queasy. Dave sent me a picture of his fend for yourself meal of a lettuce sandwich. He didn’t realize that there was bread in the freezer.
