I feel blogging is pointless at the moment so don't expect to come here and read any scintillating content, if anyone other than a very few still read this crap.
I will keep this blog open so certain people can get to other blogs through my blog roll(yes, I'm looking at you Sissie!).
Sluggy who doesn't think it will ever stop raining(I'd rather have snow)
Hi Sluggy, this is Chris. I am sorry you aren’t feeling well. Thanks for leaving the blog up, I am one of the ones who get to other blogs through your blog roll. I also still read what you write. I will say some prayers for you. ❤️
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that. Glad you're not quitting altogether - thanks for keeping your site live for now at least. You'll be missed!
ReplyDeleteSluggy you count! I understand about s$&t making you feel down but you and your blog do count! I hope you are ok. Moving is one of the five top stressors. You just got there and are not settled in yet. Plus the wound and the sh$t show with the wound care would get anyone down. I mean the trip at a Christmas,or right after the trip ended up being absolute hell, for you, especially Kim, and Kim’s twin. You probably felt helpless as far as making it better for her. Second hand trauma is real. No need to feel guilty about feeling that way. Kim understands. This year has just absolutely sucked for her and for you and her twin. It also rains a godawful amount in Louisiana. It is just so difficult to change locations. You will eventually adjust, I think. It is ok to get grocery deli takeout every day, make sandwiches and eat off paper plates or even door dash if you don’t feel like cooking. To heck with the expense. We just do the best we can do under the circumstances. I hope you have a good time on your soon to be trip and get to feeling better soon. Virtual hugs. Cindy in the South
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't sound good, take care.
ReplyDeleteI wait with the porch light on.
ReplyDeleteYou will be missed! You are the first blog in my list that I check every morning. I love reading about your vacation adventures and your pushing to save $$ whenever you can. Please rest and return to us :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, as I also use your blog roll. A lot!
ReplyDeleteWill miss you!
ReplyDeletePlease take care of yourself.
ReplyDeletePlease don’t quit! I love your blog! You are a good writer! You have helped me be frugal! I find your every day stuff interesting!
ReplyDeleteExactly!!!!
DeleteJust wanted to say I've enjoyed your blog for several years, though don't often comment. I'll keep checking and will enjoy if/when you post again, but totally understand what you're saying too. Best wishes to you....and many sunny days!
ReplyDeleteJre I comment occasionally but sometimes just says anonymous but I do enjoy your posts. I’ve gotten a little more into ancestry and found out that one was a George Denison of Mystic Ct that has the original home that is now a museum. I visited there from mn in October. I know this is ramble but your blog inspired that a little. Hope your mojo gets better. I’ve had low uninspired periods and it’s tough. But do what’s best for you.
ReplyDeleteAwwww. I'm sorry you feel alone. I read your blog every weekend.
ReplyDeleteOften read. Rarely post. Don’t know how easily! Anywho, your post sounds dark and ominous. Are you ok? The community is here for you.
ReplyDeleteSlug.... I read you, and to let you know I watch my finances better since you post how yours is doing. Be Happy, I will miss you if you decided to never post again, but I would rather you be happy.
ReplyDeleteHad to google AFK. Keep blogging! More people read than you know. :)
ReplyDeleteI know i'm just an internet stranger, but if i were to read that in real life, i'd be concerned for the mental health and therefor physical well being. So I must ask - are you ok, do you need some support sent your way? No shame in that. - Jen
ReplyDeleteI may not comment often at all but I do enjoy reading your blog everyday and also read others you follow! I will miss your writing but understand. Do what you need to do for you!
ReplyDeleteIf it snowed as much as it rains here, I would feel depressed.
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer the snow It has rained here non-stop since Dec., every day but 3 in total.
DeleteIf it wasn't for your blog, nobody would read mine. Yours is the #1 referral site for (my very few) readers to my page according to my blog stats. If you notice, I don't post much lately. I just kind of lost my inspiration. I considered taking it down, but the last 13 years are documented on there and my daughter likes to go back and read it sometimes, so I guess I'll leave it and maybe post now and then. Sorry about the rain. I know it gets me down too, but hopefully sunnier days are coming. Praying it's a mild hurricane season for all of us in the south. Hang in there. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteI read all the time
