Readily admit-I have been their target market. I love a good Trader Joe's shop and haul. As I don't live very close to one, this is an occasional indulgence.
I shop mostly at Aldi and Tops, rarely Wegmans even though I live in the Rochester, NY area. As a treat, we drive 20 miles to the only Trader Joe's located at Pittsford Plaza. We love it there! Fresh flowers, even in the dead of winter, at a great price. Unique items at a great price, awesome employees. Last year, we happened to be there on my birthday in March, and I told the cashier that my husband would be footing the bill, since it was my birthday. She left the register, and grabbed me a huge bouquet of flowers, free from Trader Joe's! What's not to love?
I do go to TJ's a couple of time a year for a few things I can only find there then buy several at a time. Give me Aldi for most things, Publix for things Aldi doesn't carry and The Pig for their butcher shop and I am gold! I like bargains too much to be a Trader Joe's regular.
I knew Aldi was related to Trader Joes but didn't know how. So cool! We don't have TJ around here, but I do love my Aldi! There is just as much a cult following on FB for Aldi...

ReplyDeleteFunny they just don't appeal to me and I am not easily hooked, to me it is the bottom line.
ReplyDeleteEven if they set up a diet coke dispenser?
DeleteI actually like Trader Joes, but the part of things they don't do well on, spot on.
