  2. Not only is it June, June is 1/2 over! I have vacation time in June and a lot in August-so will hopefully do a mix of projects and fun. I am vaccinated as is my whole immediate family. We just had a very bad scare with a youngish family member hospitalized and on a ventilator. People minimizing it just haven't been impacted. I hope their faith in the 95% recovery rate is well placed.

  3. Me, me me! Start planning a cruise to Alaska, I am ready to go anytime. We have had a few changes around here.

  4. I have been vaccinated because I am not ____________. (Fill in the blank)
We are taking an entire family trip to the Gulf in August! Thankful for the relatively new airport that is about 30 minutes from the condo. It makes things much easier for the Oregon and New York delegations.

  5. We have all been vaccinated thank goodness! We already took our "summer" trips to Vegas to see sister-in-law and Seattle to see daughter - we are now home and will be spending the 109 days in the pool and in my case...in a coma on the couch with baseball on.

  6. We are all vaccinated, but I haven't made any vacation plans for summer. Maybe we'll plan something for September when it is a little cooler and less crowded.

  7. I have been vaccinated with two doses of Pfizer. YAY!

  8. Staying home and gardening. It is now to expensive to go anywhere, even by car as gas is over $3.00 gal in Florida.

  9. We're vaccinated :) We are currently away for a week...up north in our state. We're here with two of our four daughters and their husbands. Wish it could have been all, but it's hard with so many work schedules and the kids' limited pto. My husband and I also go often to our camper, currently on a seasonal site this year. Planning on next year's out of state travel for a couple of family get togethers in WA and OR. Plus there's always house and yard projects! A lot gets crammed into our MN summers..haha!

  10. Does a trip to the beach in September still count as a summer vacation? Mostly we are going to try and do some smaller day trips and maybe some yard work.

  11. We are vaccinated but everywhere here in Calif. has opened up and is crowded so will play it by ear as to if we will vacation.

  13. vaccinated... most of the kids are not as they were advised to wait 6 months from the time they had covid. SO in July there will be a slew of kids and grandkids getting vaccinated. We have 2 porches and a basement ramp to do this summer along with refinancing the house.
I am sorry for the lose of your cousin. My stepmom died of that and Daddy never truly recovered from losing her. She's been gone over 30 yrs and right before he died last year he told me he was going to go see her.

  17. I have a few appraising/judging gigs, but other than that, we'll pretty much stay put this summer. (We did a LOT of traveling in the winter.) No, neither of us is vaccinated -- not because we are "anti-vaxxers," but because some medical professionals (including our nephew the pharmacist, who also is not) have pointed out some critical problems that aren't being addressed too much. And they concern us.

  18. In 2019, we were considering going on the Natchez Trace, but then 2020 happened, and Tommy is silent on the trip when I ask him. I am not sure why.

  26. Comments usually don’t work from my phone but I’ll give it a final shot. Dirty Daryl the dog has been feasting on cicadas this summer. We’re vaccinated but not the majority of the state so still being cautious.

  27. We are vaccinated! Work schedule is insane and hot. Best we can do is escape for a few weekends to lake of the ozarks. Most of the local pools aren’t open yet due to lack of staff so lake escapes may sound dull to many but I can hardly wait. vanessabrown76 at gmail dot com
