Getting 2nd Moderna on Monday
ReplyDelete1/3rd acre in gardens along with 9 (or is it 12?) potted fruit trees as the apples, grapes, raspberries and blackberries probably won't make with the 3 inches of snow we got today or the 29 degrees we get tomorrow morning with 25 mph winds (I hope that forecast is wrong). Some of the cool weather crops got planted and covered. I plan on planting the summer crops mid May and then another cool weather (fingers crossed) late summer.
Amish guy is going to repair the basement ramp. Hubby just ordered the last material for the front porch and ramp. We will be building a lean to green house onto the barn.
Daughter 4 is hoping to have family gathering this summer for baby Lizzie that was born the 19th. Their county is very high for covid right now and most of the family lives in that area.
We are to have a get together at a friend's house this summer. We will all have our vaccines by then.
Blessed Be
I want to be finished with real estate activities this spring. This includes getting rid of all excess in my personal house since I have accumulated so much from the other 2 houses.
ReplyDeleteOther than that we have no travel plans , nothing exciting happening and everyone in the family is fine.
Well I am getting ready to go see my sister and my bestest buddy, so excited.
ReplyDeleteSpring is bitter sweet for me this year. My son (age 40) passed away in his sleep a little over 3 weeks ago. I am finally getting a trip up to Oregon to see my mom and granddaughter but also need to pick up his ashes and the stuff he took up when he went for a visit. Looking forward to getting out in the yard when I get home. Working on a small garden bed right now. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have last year's seeds I did not use last year, and two little greenhouses.
ReplyDeleteHow about some unplanned remodeling-My hot water tank developed a leak. I didn't know about this leak as I haven't been in the basement because I broke my leg. I sent one of my kids who came over to go down and get me something I needed. I now have a swimming pool down there! And yeah, it was loaded with boxed stuff.
ReplyDelete*Not an entry. So sorry for your loss Crystal.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteIt was a terrible shock.
Crystal, sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeletePM, sorry you broke your leg and then if that's not enough, a flooded basement.
I only plan on getting my yard cleaned, no other major projects. But, this shall keep me busy for awhile.
Linda C.
Thank you.
DeleteIt was hard and a big shock.
Putting a new fence in the backyard. Waiting for it to be completed so I can plant my garden. I have already planted flowers in a flower box, and they have already started blooming. So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteCrystal prayers for strength for you and yours.
ReplyDeleteI can add planting red rhubarb as I was given 3 plants yesterday. Just need the weather to go back to being spring instead of winter
Thank you so much.
DeleteSluggy, Of course my replys are not entries. I just wanted to respond to the kind words.
I am now trying to decide if planting a garden will be futile due to cicadas.
ReplyDeleteLot's of plans once vaccinated fully-we have weddings, and friend visits planned, and my college kid will be home again. I just used opened 14 month old coffee when I was out, so an unopened best by February is still great to me! I love my coffee!
ReplyDeleteMore unplanned remodeling. After the water heater was replaced i went to turn on the furnace. No furnace. I called the furnace repair people and they told me it needed replaced. I have no heat and in northeast Ohio it's a tad bit cold right now.
ReplyDeleteOur immediate plan is to try to stay warm! We are experiencing Dogwood Winter in the hills of East TN. BRRRR! Thanks! --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteLeveling a spot in the bumpy yard for a pool is the plan in the next few weeks.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
We are vaccinated! I can hardly wait to eat in a restaurant for the first time in over a year on real plates, not carry out boxes. Vanessabrown76 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI will take the Lindt and Tommy likes coffee. I come here and drool.
ReplyDeleteMy MIL and her sister are both suffering with dementia (when they suffer, the entire family suffers). They live a couple hours apart, so visits aren't often. We are planning a luncheon for them in early May and hoping for the best. It is at my house, so maybe, maybe I'll do some spring cleaning. Or not. --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteThe days are moving on but our weather doesn't seem to realize it's spring yet. We get 70's then back to freezing cold. Pollen is flying and my allergies are acting up. Early May I will be up in Oregon probably 2 weeks. Want to be there for my mom's 82 birthday. She has had both shots and we will be careful. May in the Willamette Valley is beautiful with all the flowers and blooming bushes. I love it but it also plays havoc with my allergies. Take care.
ReplyDeleteAnd the saga continues-went to do a load of laundry, my daughter noticed a dripping sound. The washing machine was leaking-the shut off valves would not work. The plumber couldn't get back for a few days. The washing machine is unfixable. And the pipes need repaired. More of my unplanned updates! Geeze!
ReplyDeleteWorking on some more spring cleaning today ( :

Heading out this beautiful Saturday to see if there are any yard sales in the area! Have a great day everyone.
ReplyDeleteOkay another unscheduled upgrade-the fridge went kaput. You know the old saying-when it rains it pours!
ReplyDeleteBig plans to get the 2nd dose of the vaccine in a couple days. Hoping for minimal side effects!
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit more spring-like here today with fabulous weather forecast for tomorrow. My adult kids, spouses, grandbabies will be coming down for supper tonight. While it isn't a large crowd, nine people total, it will still feel festive. Thanks for the giveaway. --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteredoing the floor of the front porch and adding a wheelchair ramp to it. Caught a great sale during 11% rebate at Menards
ReplyDeleteThanking God for this day. Got most of my pantries cleaned and sorted. One more to go today. Pulled all the things that were close to expiration date or have hung around for too long and need to be used. We all have those things we want to try and forget about once they are home. lol. Working on those things today. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe have had temps in the 70's then yesterday snow mixed with rain! What??? Yep the weather is crazy in Nevada too.
ReplyDeleteOn this beautiful spring day I've been doing some mowing, removing pollen from my porch, planting bulbs, washing up spring/summer clothes, and sitting in the sunshine with a book. So nice! --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to be fully vaccinated. I want to have so many dinner parties! I really miss cooking for friends. But my oven just broke this evening so I guess I'll have to deal with that first!
ReplyDeleteWe bought a Ninja Foodie right before Christmas on sale. We are loving it! My husband did beef ribs in it the other day. Pressure cooked and then Air fryer to crisp. It has been getting a lot of use.
ReplyDeleteToday's spring chore was mowing, but it was a beautiful day for that, and the view was just lovely. Thanks for the giveaway! --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteWe are really enjoying starting to come up with all of our summer travel plans. It's nice to dream big after being grounded last summer!
ReplyDeleteBack to nice weather in NV! Whoo Hoo! Out to do some groc. shopping this morning with my son. Then my husband wants to get his hair cut and we will hit the .99 store and Dollar Tree. Then back home to tidy the house.
ReplyDeleteStill enjoying great weather in TN, so I took advantage of that and played outside with a couple grandbabies today. Things are quite yellow with pollen but nothing a Benedryl won't fix, I suppose. Thanks! --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteHad Vaccine Dose #2 today and am so grateful to finally be fully vaccinated...but I'm also very sleepy!
ReplyDeleteThe new dishwasher is not working and the guy who takes care of those things under warranty is not calling back! So, it is back to standing and hurting.

ReplyDeleteOur gas is hovering around 3.50 a gallon. Up about .80 -.90 cents a gallon since the first of the year. Let's hope it doesn't go higher. Sigh. One step forward- two steps back.
ReplyDeleteWell, I had my first mosquito sighting today!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like another beautiful spring day. I'm expecting to spend part of it shoveling. Oh my, the things we do to help our adult children! You can bet there will be lots of breaks. Thanks! --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteIt was 82 degrees here yesterday! Our weather is back and forth. lol. Hoping for a few more days to get out in the garden area and prep it. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe have a literal list of all the people we want to get together with now that we're vaccinated, so we're going to start working our way through that soon!
ReplyDeleteHappy May Day! I remember as a kid making paper cones with handles on top. Picking daffodils and other flowers and putting them in the cones. Knocking on the neighbors doors and running to hide and watch their surprise as they got flowers. This was one of my favorite memories as a kid.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a perfect day in Alabama today. Perfect weather. I’ve been freezer cooking all day, but now I’m sitting in my swing enjoying this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful weather here today. Getting the yard in shape for summer, and gearing up to plant some more trees.
ReplyDeleteFinishing my last minute packing and repacking to make it all fit. lol. Heading to Oregon tomorrow. Take care everyone!
ReplyDeleteI am working on a new industry to make some money.
ReplyDeleteSunday,
ReplyDeleteWe ate lunch/dinner in the park. It was threatening to storm, at least rain, but it was very pleasant.
Well today I fly up to Oregon. Weird to be traveling after all this time. My mom is taking me to the Oregon Coast while I am there. Haven't been in years. Looking forward to it.
