Things like that.

We are thinking of going up to the finger lakes at the end of September. Not too far, but to see something different.
ReplyDeleteSorry, aerodog@zbzoom.net
DeleteSeptember plans?.... Survive and hopefully find a rhythm to back to school and all the activities that the kids are in. :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha - what parent misses back to school shopping. While visiting ex-college girl, we stopped at Target? . . . and they had rows of supplies out. ECG said, "mom" - do you miss shopping for that stuff - pointing to the stuff . . .nope. And hopefully it hasn't gotten worse - some years I had to provide tissue paper, wipes (for cleaning) etc.
ReplyDeleteHello there, just became alert to your blog through Google, and
ReplyDeletefound that it's really informative. I'm gonna watch
out for brussels. I will appreciate if you continue this
in future. Many people will be benefited from your writing.
Cheers!
Hopefully our September plans are to get started on painting the inside of the house. We've lived here 20 years and it is time!
ReplyDeleteI am making peach jam today! We enjoy it on toast in the cold winter ( :
ReplyDeleteSeptember will bring somewhat cooler weather so I can't wait. The heat index yesterday was 107F and I had to be out in it all day.
ReplyDeletehiddenhavenhomestead@yahoo.com
Me,me I want fig Newtons.
ReplyDeleteSeptember will be trying to get back into a routine with school starting.

First plan for September is to finally finish painting the main floor living room once we have a cool weekend. My husband started it over two years ago and never finished! We don’t really notice it anymore unless people are over and ask about it. It’s pretty bad.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
For the first time in 7 years I have lots of time on my hands during the fall. No more high school marching band. Instead we will to only 2 HS football games, the fair, college football game (daughter still marches,) and lastly canning, canning and more canning.
ReplyDeleteAmy (cheapOHmom@yahoo.com)
Oh, how I need a September vacation! Just starting to think that over and look at the calendar. Thanks! (caseowens1@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to September, as that's when we make most of our beach trips (day trips). The school kids are gone by then and we usually have the beach almost to ourselves. I also need to get my house in order after having lots of grandkid visits this summer.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful giveaway! I may take a little vacation in September- waiting to find out if a friend will be visiting then.
ReplyDeleteJust noticing this week that it is getting darker before 9 pm. I found a leaf yesterday that had fallen that was beautiful colors-orange-yellow-brown....NOOOOO!!!! wanting summer to last a little longer as the garden hasn't produced well this year and I have not finished mulching yet! jgish@hughes.net
ReplyDeleteSeptember plans mostly consist of trying to get back into a routine with the school year starting back up. But we'll also be tackling some painting projects in the house!
ReplyDeleteHi there I am so thrilled I found your weblog, I really found
ReplyDeleteyou by mistake, while I was looking on Google for something else, Anyways I am
here now and would just like to say many thanks for a marvelous post and a all round enjoyable blog (I also love the theme/design), I don't have time to browse it all at the moment but I have book-marked it and also included your RSS
feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read a great deal more, Please
do keep up the fantastic work.
back to school for us! so excited about the new school year!! marthicafer at gmail.com
ReplyDeletethanks
Martha
September is going to be very strange. My youngest is leaving for college next week. I am going to miss her so much.
ReplyDeleteGrandson started his first year of high school on Monday. I am glad we on I have 3 more years of filling out school paperwork and writing checks for the "extras" required. He was happy to be back n school and see all is friends. We were happy to have him back in school because he was happy! Thanks for the Giveaway. Teddie
ReplyDeleteGarden produce: we live in desert conditions. I started a couple of container gardens - while visiting ECG, my husband failed to water containers not watered by the sprinker - so, no results there. But my basil and rosemary potted with some flowers watered by the irrigation system are doing great. Also, I have 2 lemon trees producing fruit - maybe the lemons will be ready in a week or two? Moral of the story, don't count on the hubby to water anything consistently or at all.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I no longer have kids in school! I still buy school stuff on sale and donate it to my local elementary school for kids that need it. We have a backpack program at school to help kids that need supplies and/or snacks to help get them through the year. I'm also in the process of planning a trip to Nova Scotia. Lisa H my email is hergetm@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI plan on finishing painting my kitchen in September. I have drug it out all summer, painting a little here and There. It's a small kitchen, I just rather read than paint lol
ReplyDeleteWe have no one going back to school. 3rd year of no tuition. Hooray for us!
ReplyDeleteI am currently in a war with the muscadines (aka squirrel and chipmunk food)
I am hoping this 100 degree heat stops in September, so much I want to do in the yard!
ReplyDeleteMad2267@gmail.com
Enjoying summer by taking a walk in the beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteSeptember plans.....well, still working outside, but in lovely cooler weather. I can’t wait, don’t like the humid heat of summer and it doesn’t like me. Except mornings and evenings, of course. Can’t complain about everything:-)
ReplyDeleteMany projects yet to get done. Slowly chipping away at them.
ReplyDeletepjames330 at aol dot com
September is a BIG month for us as son #1 is getting married so we will make a road trip to Houston and see many friends and family. Very excited. Teddie
ReplyDeleteI don’t really have a fall garden but I do have 2 tomato plants and I have managed not to kill them thus far! Looking forward to a September full of caprese salad and pico de gallo (hopefully)!
ReplyDeleteProject 2 is cleaning up the brush pile in the backyard. Something has made a home in there and I fear it’s a skunk. Daryl the dog was sprayed by one so we’re on de-skunking duty for now!
ReplyDeleteJen G.
September means James Dean weekend in this neck of the woods. Old car shows, old movies, and good times!
ReplyDeleteProjects: Use up scrap fabrics and make gypsy drapes for ECG/Guest room and also finish a quilt top and make a duvet cover? Anyway, ECG will come home for the holidays - so, I want to spruce up the room a bit and get rid of fabric/clothes we won't be needing.
ReplyDeleteSeptember I have a trip back to my beautiful NC mountains. We are a having a celebration of life for my brother who died earlier this year. I will get to see my nephews, niece, and their families I haven't seen in several years. A sad but also happy trip.
ReplyDeleteProject remains de-skunking the dog and anything he’s touched. Nature’s Miracle, vinegar, baking soda, etc haven’t made a dent. I think new harness and collar are on the shopping list this weekend. 😒
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Our other big September plan is to adopt a dog. I'm a little nervous since we've been cat owners for so long, but I'm excited to have a walking buddy!
ReplyDeleteWe are hoping to wrap up our condo redo next week. Last week we had 3 painters with us morning to late afternoon and this week we had floor installers with us all day. Next week is new countertops and sink. Every piece of furniture has been moved 4 times and everything hanging on walls has been moved around for 2 weeks. Hope to get it all put back together before we leave for Houston in September. Teddie
ReplyDeleteFall garden: kale for sure, what else?
ReplyDeleteI am glad kids are all back in school. Not mine they are 39 and 41 - lol. I don't care much for school zones. But an necessary evil so no one gets run over. Our school zones are 15 miles and hour - some the whole school day and some just when the yellow school zone light is flashing. That is grade school through high school. One odd thing is there is a grade school on a busy road that has a 25 mile an hour school zone. We have never been able to figure out why it's not 15 like the rest of the schools. My husband said- Maybe those kids run faster or something. Just a little weird humor. Take care. Crystal Hankey - I believe I'm on your e-mail list.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try a fall garden this year. I have never tried one before.
ReplyDeletefarmgirl33@ymail.com
I will be teaching my 7th grader this September and teaching a class at a local homeschool co-op. I will also be looking for some cooler days, but here in AL it really doesn't get cool until October and then it is hit or miss.
ReplyDeleteclarksrfun@gmail.com
Vacation plans for September? Hmmm, since I am retired, if I can find a good deal, I might take it. I have never been on a cruise and am thinking it might be nice to see Alaska while it is hot in the desert.
ReplyDeleteStill working on the skunk problem. Three more special baths for the dog this morning. His body is better but his face still reeks. I bought some baby wipes this morning to try cleaning closer to his eyes.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Looking forward to peaches in September. Our neighbors behind us have two peach trees and they will be ripe in Sept. We can pick as many as we want. My favorite is to peel and slice peaches and eat with vanilla bean ice cream. Oh so yummy! Take care.
ReplyDeleteOur other September plan is to go to the county fair. Our kids are still too small to ride the rides but it's fun to look at all the animals and exhibits!
ReplyDeleteIt’s very muggy in NJ today. Just relaxing right now after a yoga class...
ReplyDeleteThe skunk spray now smells kind of like male cat spray so maybe it’s improving? Furniture is being cleaned with vinegar and then we’ll try some more Nature’s Miracle. No miracles here yet. 😒
ReplyDeleteTaking a break from that mess and making more pasta salad. Artichoke hearts and sautéed tofu cubes are my secret ingredients.
Jen G.
Back to school on Tuesday! Trying to get everything ready!
ReplyDeletefarmgirl33@ymail.com
We are still working on getting the condo back together. We had the painters leave in the big nails and screws so we could easily rehang large items on the walls. That is now done. But we still have all the small stuff to hang. Hint: take pictures of where you have hung stuff. You think you will remember, but I don't! Teddie
ReplyDeleteHoping for some good ads / deals in the stores near Labor Day this year. This has not been the best summer for deals but I keep plugging away. Can't wait for fall weather. I am over summer after having to fix our swamp cooler on the roof twice in a month. At least it wasn't too expensive. Have a great day. Take care.
ReplyDeleteNew September goal: get busy training and loving on the dog we adopted from the animal shelter today!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to fall weather and tidying up the yard for winter. I do it in small increments of time since I can't be out in the sun long. Then time to check over my pantry and clean / organize and start filling in the winter holes. Especially things like cold and flu meds and stuff I don't want to run out for if we are sick or the weather is bad. Take care.
ReplyDeleteFebreeze appears to be the miracle we’ve been searching for!! The dog still stinks but the furniture is fine now. Weekend project is now clearing out the brush pile. I have a funny feeling a skunk or two may be living in there.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Ugh! I got a summer sickness. I guess I'll be holding off on the house duties. Centrum Women's Vitamins would be helpful.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for September and for cooler weather!
ReplyDeletefarmgirl33@ymail.com
Can't wait for fall apples... so yummy!
ReplyDeleteWe're building raised garden beds and it would be great to get those done before the weather gets bad!
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you that the city threw away my box of goodies I won?
ReplyDeleteWe need to do a few things to our cabin at the campgrounds before winter hits. The list of what I need to do is getting so overwhelming I may not get anything done!!
ReplyDeleteYesterday the young man came out and measured for the new countertops. They are to install the countertops and backsplash on Friday. That will finish up the condo redo. So excited to get my kitchen back in order as right now as my dining room table is covered with kitchen stuff. Teddie
ReplyDeleteWe’ve learned from a fellow skunk victim that the smell keeps returning for about two months. So I give up on cleaning the dog. It rained today and that seemed to reactivate the smell!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to fall when the skunks seem to disappear.
Jen G.
I am guessing tomorrow we are cleaning up after the storm! Hope the weather is better where you are.
ReplyDeletefarmgirl33@ymail.com
Regarding produce to put away for winter, I just prepped about 20 lbs of apricots for the freezer. Phew. Hard work! But we'll be eating well this winter!
ReplyDeleteI am going to queens to see my niece before she starts back at college.
ReplyDeleteMerlinsfamily@outlook.com
My kids are coming home in September! Now I couldn't get them all here on the same weekend but I will take them any way I can get them! At least 3 weekends of good fun in September!
ReplyDeleteMy plans for the fall incude smores made on the fire and lots of carmel apples...from the fair and festivals happening around here. So I basically need this giveaway for the M&Ms.
ReplyDeleteAmy
(cheapohmom@yahoo.com)
Wow. Can't believe we are almost to the end of August! Finally at 6 weeks of no crazy problems with my heart. New med working. Get to drive to close places now. Grocery store deals here I come! Stocking up on water and butter at great prices this week. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThe condo is coming back together nicely. Every closet has been completely emptied and decluttered EXCEPT one. We saved the worst for last ~ the 3rd bathroom which is stuffed full of photo albums and pictures. We started today and I will stay busy through the fall sorting, discarding, and putting pictures in albums. Geeze too many pictures! Teddie
ReplyDeleteIm busy cleaning for end of the summer company!
ReplyDeleteIt’s time to make my yearly mass amount of pesto. I freeze it ice cube trays and transfer to a freezer bag. I didn’t grow basil this year so I’ll need to make a trip to the farmer’s market.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
We don't usually vacation in September but we're thinking of trying to squeeze in one last camping trip this year. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteWe've lived at our current house for 20 years and it is time for an update. September could bring new paint, lighting and the repurposing of a now unused room into a real sewing room/office!!! I am excited. Hopefully the stars align and we can work on it over the long Labor Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo looking forward to fall! It’s my favorite season.
ReplyDeletehope i win!, august is not my favorite month, school is back soon
ReplyDeletemarthicafer @ gmail.com
Need to start some decluttering of boxes of old papers in my office. 3 regular size boxes and one really large boxes. They have been following me around like a bad habit for far too long. This is the 2nd house they have been to. Almost 10 years. I am a total paper pack rat and what could possibly be good in there after 10 years? Of course I will go through them instead of just tossing. Don't expect any surprises like $ but who knows. I will dive in by starting a box today. If you don't hear from me alert the authorities as I may be buried under my paper clutter. lol.
ReplyDeleteI mentioned my sad tomato plants before (no green thumb here) but they actually have about; tomatoes on them!!! Hooray!!
ReplyDeleteCleaning out my bathroom should go on my project list. I almost have more dresses hanging over the shower door than I do in my closet. And I noticed my Halloween costume from two years ago is in that mess!
ReplyDeleteDonating the prize to Practical Parsimony if I win.
Jen G.
I belong to a csa and have 4 tomato plants, I am freezing as much as I can of tomatoes and eating a lot every day. Store tomatoes aren't real tomatoes. aerodog@zbzoom.net
ReplyDeleteI am a paper pack rat like Crystal above....I have been slowly decluttering for about a year and have made progress, but it’s really slow. I have to look at every single thing LOL and sometimes I still can’t throw it away. But that’s my project.
ReplyDeleteNow that it is cooling down we hope to enjoy our fire table on the deck!
ReplyDeleteFor September, hopefully enjoying some cooler weather and I'd still love to get make it the beach this year.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here is starting to cool off every so slightly so hopefully that will give me added incentive to do all the things that I need to do! Gotta make a list......
ReplyDeleteWe finally have cooler weather and I’m wearing a long sleeve T-shirt. I burn in 5 minutes so this means I can skip most sunscreen! I also have the windows open so fresh air for the kitties.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Hit the local Smith's store (Kroger Affiliate) today with husband. Butter for 1.99 ea. Picked up 5 and had 3 -.50 off coupons. Then got 32 count water for 2.50 ea. but had 3- .50 coupons. A few more good deals and back home in under 45 minutes. A little off today with dizziness and weakness but HAD to make these deals happen!
ReplyDeleteStarting to feel like fall. I am excited for the cooler weather!
