My favorite activity for fall is apple picking and freezing applesauce for the winter. The house smells wonderful after making sauce.
ReplyDeleteThe item I most want to win? Probably the shampoo, but please donate it rather than ship it since it can be heavy - someone in need would enjoy it!
Hi, my favorite fall activity is to walk in the leaves.
ReplyDeleteColeen

My favorite grocery deal was the 0.99 cereal and Apple juice in Krogers Friday sale. Limit 5 so I stocked up for the kiddos.
ReplyDeleteFavorite has to be apple picking!
ReplyDeleteSo many favorite fall activities..... I think the top one is driving around looking at the beautiful foliage.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall activity is working outside. Putting garden to bed for winter. Cleaning goat and chicken houses and putting in fresh bedding for winter. Raking leaves and putting away summer outdoor furniture. I am not a big fan of summer so autumn is slowly opening the door to winter for me. I also enjoy getting fall recipes together and planning warm, delicious meals.
ReplyDeleteWow that is a lot of stuff to choose from. I would take chocolate of course, some razors, makeup, the Max freeze because I am almost out of mine and other goodies. Thanks for doing another giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLove to decorate our front porch and with pumpkins and mums.

My favorite autumn activity is to sit in my swing and enjoy the cooler air. I live in Alabama and it is usually Oct before we get any real cool air (yesterday it was 94 degrees here). I love how the air just feels clean and crisper. Wendy-clarksrfun at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Autumn activity is going to the pumpkin farm to get a pumpkin. Of course it is still in the 90s here! What a great selection of items.
ReplyDeleteHi there, thanks for such a fantastic giveaway! Just typing that list was a job. Favorite activity...I guess walking. I'm not good with summer heat, but I love smelling autumn, the leaves...and the sun that is warm but not burning.
ReplyDeleteSMS smsteiner100@gmail.com
I also love the cool weather, caramel apples and a big splurge pumpkin spiced latte.
ReplyDeleteWe have an apple tree in our yard so every Fall for my friends birthday I make him an apple pie. I have a really great recipe you make a lattice top and then you pour a caramel mixture over the top.
ReplyDeleteYoungest daughter and I went out to several farms to see prices. We bought a bushel of corn on the cob for $20. I grilled some up with dinner last night. It is so sweet and yummy. We also got some brussel sprouts for 50¢ a stalk.
ReplyDeleteFall hsas always been my worst allergy season, so outdoor activities are not high on my list of joys. However, I like not sweating between the house and car. No mosquitoes. I love the look of all the Fall decorations and decorations leading up to the end of the year. It seems from now to the end of the year we have perpetual events for celebrating harvests. I will take the chocolate.
ReplyDeleteAnother fall love.... hot drinks on a cool night.. spiced apple cider is the best!
ReplyDeleteI love fall! Bonfires, hot tea, all the smells.
ReplyDeleteMy best grocery deal was BSCB at $1.49/lb at Food City.
Went back to Kroger today for a petco gift card. We always need cat litter and this weekend is 4x fuel points on gift cards. Currently have $.85 off per gallon. Saving that to fill up the truck.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall activity is going apple picking with the kids and Hubby. We go to a no frills place and it is so nice. They do have a small market on the property with the best chocolate chip cookies. We also get apple donuts and apple cider from them. We usually hit a few farm stands and end up at a seafood place out east. We will pick up 2 quarts of their chowder and bring it home for an easy dinner. We have been doing it for years and we still love it.

I'm after the hair ties. My cat steals them right out of my hair every single night! Had to scrounge one from under the bed this morning. New ones not covered in cat spit would be great. For as long as they last. :)
ReplyDeleteJen G.
I like decorating the house for Halloween. The grandkiddos love it.
ReplyDeleteToday's entry - I am not really fond of scary Halloween decorations, but I love seeing the really young children in costume.

As a kid, my favorite autumn activity was raking the leaves into a big pile and then jumping into them.
ReplyDeleteAs an adult, it's taking walks in the afternoon and noticing the colors on the mountains, the sound of fallen leaves as I scuff through them, the scents of autumn (ripening highbush cranberries, deteriorating vegetation), and marveling at the low, low, low angle of the sun. I live in Alaska and when the light goes, it goes quickly.
I'm ready for summer to be over. We're back in the 90s this week! But my favorite part of summer is being able to line dry all the laundry. Taking advantage and did all the bedding over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
I love the smells of fall!
ReplyDeletecaseowens1@gmail.com
Today's entry - Here is San Diego, the ocean breeze seems saltier and crisper.

ReplyDeleteI love the fall leave colors and the activities and also Halloween!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is still so hot in Alabama! I am so ready for some cooler weather and being able to open the doors and let a little cool air in. The forecast says that maybe next week the high will only be in the 80s. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteWendy Clark-clarksrfun at gmail dot com
I love that I don't need the air or heat on this time of year. I just open the windows for fresh air. It is still 80 degrees during the day but between school and work, no one is in the house during the hottest part of the day.
ReplyDeleteAnother fall favorite is pumpkin spiced candles ! So many wonderful fall things ( :

ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm about done with the heat. Yesterday it was the hottest day of the summer in Alabama-97 degrees-and it was mid-September!!!!! The forecast says it should cool down next week. I can't wait. I love to warm up apple cider and add a few red hot candies. They melt and it makes a yummy fall drink. It is too hot to drink that now, for sure. I love all the pretty colors of fall mums!
ReplyDeleteHi Denise, How is your supply of pork, chicken and turkey? Hurricane Florence will translate into shortages and skyrocketing prices. Stock up when you can. Here in CT, I am noticing some significant spaces on the store shelves, in general, and we weren't really impacted. How about you?
ReplyDeleteSo far this fall has not been so great, gray and damp. But hopefully the sun will come out and it will light up the beautiful fall colors!

Upper 40's as I woke up around 4 a.m. today-LOVE it! especially after the horrible heat and humidity, and electric bills to match. Staying warm with clothing, hot beverages, in a super insulated home. No heat going on any time soon (hopefully). Oven meal tonight to add a bit of warmth to the home: baked chicken legs, home made stuffing, roasted Butternut squash and perhaps a salad.
ReplyDeleteGray day again! Gray gray go away! I want sun and fall colors.
ReplyDeleteSmsteiner100@gmail.com
