Just Call Me Cyclops

Well I survived the surgery.

I am getting real tired of walking around and looking at stuff with one eye shut so I can use my glasses.

And I look like someone punched in the eye(all black and blue around my eye).
The woman sitting in the prep area next to me was getting her second eye done and she was 95!
And I was by far the youngest patient in the facility.

It's over so let the healing begin.
And I am so bad at putting eye drops in my own eye.....I may have to refill these bottles of drops! lolz

  1. Whew! So glad things went well. I know eye surgery sucks, at least until it heals! Will you have to join Ron in PT for exercises?

    Peace <3

  4. I know how you feel, except that I didn't get black eyes. Are you having both done? I don't remember. Hope your results are as good as mine!

  8. I was only bruised a bit. The thing that bothered me was how the outer edge of my eyes seemed to be sore like the outer edges of the mouth when it feels like it is cracking. That hurt the most until I got a piece of fuzz in the incision. Did you get a plastic eye patch to tape on your eye?

    Let the healing begin.

  9. I am surprised you are bruised they must have hit a blood vessel with the block they put in, glad that the first one is over. I was 54 when i had mine done but mine were caused by a low dose chemo I was taking.

  10. Glad you made it through the first half. You are a brave woman Miss Sluggy. I too have trouble putting drops in my eyes. I have to have someone else do it for me. I don't think I could ever give myself an injection either.

  12. Sorry I'm so late on wishing you a speedy recovery. My Mom had one cataract surgery 4 weeks ago and just had the other one done this week. Hope you are healing nicely and your vision is vastly improved.
