9. 3 pack tin of Blow Pop scented Lip Balm
10. 1 bottle of Olay In-Shower Body Lotion
11. 1 pack of Winnie the Pooh Notecards

I don't know if I deserve to win all this stuff, but I want you to know that one time, we went to the beach at Easter time; it was cold and everyone developed a stomach virus. At first I thought it was too much chocolate from the Easter baskets but that was not it. We are permanently banned from the Dough Roller restaurant now - the reason? Don't ask. Even the baby in her portable playpen was throwing up; I should have realized it was not just spit-up when she started in the Waffle House on the way down. I sat in the car with a bucket, or maybe it was the bushes outside Applebees while some of the recovered family members went in to eat, on the way home. I actually had a fever when we got home.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like many of our family trips when my kids were little. I remember one trip vividly eating lunch at a Wendy's on the Eastern Shore on the way to Va. Bch. and my daughter projectile vomiting across the table onto me. So much for my appetite after that!lol
DeleteWell, this year was probably our worst vacation. It rained 5 out of the 7 days and temperatures were below average. I guess we have been lucky. This is our 14th year going to the same beach and this year was the only year we have been rained on.

The worst vacation ever was my honeymoon. Within an hour I realized I had just married a violent, controlling monster. And, my period started. He even controlled how often we could stop so I could go to the bathroom. I was told at each meal that my choice from the menu embarassed him.Yes, we are divorced!

ReplyDeleteI haven't had many awful things happen on vacations. I guess one of the worst was when my husband and I drove across Canada from Vancouver to Winnipeg and somewhere in Alberta we stopped for dinner and I got food poisoning and spent the entire night throwing up. It was YEARS before I could eat pork chops again.

ReplyDeleteMy 4th of July entry. My best vacations? It's a tie between trips to Tennessee to spend time with my parents and siblings and trips with Hubby. Or just staying home with Hubby. I am pretty easy to please.

ReplyDeleteJudy, the pooh things is not a plaque....it's a set of note cards silly. I guess you could put one of a wooden plaque and mod podge it and make a pooh plaque for the baby's room. In your copious free time, that is. ;-)
DeleteMy best vacation (and the last one we took back on 2000) was to Boston! We rode the Ducks, ate at Legal Seafoods, toured the U.S.S Constitution, went to Fanuil Market, and walked part of the Liberty Trail. It was awesome! My daughter thought it was the worst vacation because we ate apt of seafood and she hates seafood ;-P
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm confused! (don't take much! lol) Did someone win the big box of stuff from last time or are you adding more stuff to make an even bigger box of stuff?
ReplyDeleteMarci-I usually stuff the box for 4 weeks, but this time I didn't stay on schedule so I am just adding in week's 2-4 stuff at once, shortening the length of time for the giveaway. The last box was ended in early June(I think)and was mailed out and received by mid June.
DeleteMy best vacation was going to Hawaii with my daughter. My worst vacation was visiting relatives. I like to visit one awesome place to eat while on vacation. When I go home to PA, I must visit Hanks' Frozen Custard and the foot-long hotdog place that I can't rmember the name of, dang that senior moment, oh wait, Edie's Footlongs. Oh yeah, there's a Cracker Barrel there too I MUST VISIT.

My favorite food is eat on vacation is seafood. It is probably the only time of the year I get it. Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh man! I NEED a vacation! I turned on the TV and the picture tube popped (yes it was an oldie but goodie vintage TV) and then I went to put the clothes in the dryer and the washer had broken with it full of water and wet clothes (of course) I'm just gonna sit here in the corner and not touch anything else so it won't break and sip on a big drink and pretend I am on a beach somewhere in an itty bitty bikini (yes, I am miraculously thin - it is my fantasy! lol)
