More later on this past week.
It's been a doozy if I do say so myself!
When I wasn't dealing with kids I was dealing with feeling poorly.
I caught part of a film again on tv yesterday that intrigues me called "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?"
I love these period films. Most anything evoking back to the 1920's-1940's. If it takes place in the South even better!
Anyway, they used some great classic folk/spiritual/bluegrass/country tunes from the era. Here's one of my favorites someone put on YouTube using a vignette of clips from the movie.
Enjoy!

Sluggy
One of my Top Five Movies! The more you watch it, the funnier it gets. Just hilarious and with a soundtrack to sing along with! And when Holly Hunter has "said her piece and counted to three", well, who wouldn't do whatever it took to get back into her good graces? It doesn't get much better than this.
ReplyDeleteI have seen that three times, but not at movie theater. I absolutely love George Clooney and the soundtrack. The Odyssey could not get any better!
ReplyDeleteWell, crap! Sorry I cursed, but I am mad that I missed a last chance to enter the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHubby and I loved "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?".
I ♥, ♥, ♥ "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"! Both the movie and the soundtrack. I agree with LisaPie that the more you watch it, the funnier it gets. A good Coen Brothers movie will do that to a person.
