I crammed 3 more trips to Rite-Aid in between Friday and Saturday night.
Mostly it was more free or almost free stuff after coupons, rain checks, rebates, 20% Wellness discount and +Up Rewards.....
The Dove 'Poo was .39¢ a bottle.
The Brown rice was .35¢ a bag.
The White rice was .19¢ a bag.
The Dixie plates were .99¢ a pack.
The Sierra Mist sodas were .46¢ each.
The Skittles candy was .45¢.
The Trident gum was .50¢
The Spin N' Span items, R-A coffee, Hormel chili were all free.
The Mortin PM, Precise Cream, Reach dental floss, Pilot pens,Gas-X, R-A toilet tissue and Benefiber were better than free.
With the overages from coupons and/or +Up Rewards gotten back, a $4 off $20 coupon and putting $2.35 OOP on my free Rite-Aid gift card, I ended up paying ZERO on all this AND with $13 MORE in +Ups than when I started!
Since these deals are past I won't go into the nitty gritty unless someone asks me to post it.
I'm always willing to share the deals if there is interest. ;-)

Sluggy
I guess I really need to start doing this. I mean, I would like to keep my money too so why not. It just seems like a lot of work but maybe it's not. I suppose I won't know unless I try.
ReplyDeleteYour Friend, m.
Mark--Yes, you do need to try this. There is a bit of a learning curve to all this but once you have your "Eureka!" moment it will be like breathing in and out to you.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning a post for later this week about working the drug store game. Come back and check that out. ;-)
OK, question..you always put the OOP on RA gift card...how do you earn the GC? thanks!
ReplyDeleteSheila--Good question! My gift cards were obtained last year at Rite-Aid from various Single Check Rebate deals that instead of cash gave a gift card...off hand I remember some were buy Oral Care items/get a gift card, some were buy P&G products/get a gift card. I also used the free $25 R-A gift cards when you transfer a prescription coupons that they offered at various times during 2010. I still have about $50 in these free gift cards left.
ReplyDeleteHopefully at some point R-A will again offer those RX transfer deals and new SCR offers that give gift cards this year. If they don't, well, I'll be spending money again, unless I can keep my OOP lower than the cash rebate total I get back with the SCRs. When I don't have free gift cards, that's my goal--to get back more in SCRs cash than I spend OOP.
Wow! What a great haul! I was hoping to pick up a few of the Hormel chilis to donate to the food pantry, but couldn't find any. Fortunately I was able to snag some of the free coffee and paper products to donate.
ReplyDeleteYou really make me look bad! I guess I should be praying for a Rite-Aid
ReplyDeleteKari--Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to find 4 whole cans on the shelf at a couple of stores. I sure wish they had enough at the warehouse to keep the shelves stocked...that seems to be the main complaint with any food item at Rite-Aid, huh?
SonyaAnn--Ah heck, you know I don't do this to make you look bad! I don't know why Rite-Aid doesn't love you enough to plop a store down in your neck of the woods!! WTF....they even have Rite-Aids in CA, so why not your state?
