UPDATE--I just noticed that the Clorox SCR can be done twice, so this Clorox purchase adds another $1 to BIL's SCR total.
That additional $1 SCR now makes this purchase a $.57 Moneymaker!
The P&G purchases on these 2 receipts bring BIL's total over $50, so he qualifies for the $15 Visa Card now. (Since the P&G SCR runs for another 2 weeks(into the Feb. SCR period), I could still raise the BIL's Visa Card to a $35 if we make $40 more in qualifying purchases in this time period.)
I know, I know.....I've been spending a LOT of time at Rite-Aid and even IF you have one near you and you do the deals there, I am figuring everyone is pretty tired of reading me blabbing on about Rite-Aid.
But Really!....tell me what other store you can walk into and spend .43¢ and get over $30 worth of stuff on a regular basis And then have them send you back enough money in rebates that you end up making money to shop there?!?!
Wags and CVS have good deals and you can have a low or zero OOP & get back ECBs and RRs but that's only Cash if you spend it there. You can do well at those 2 drug stores too but except for once or twice, I have never gotten paid a similarly large amount to shop with them like I have gotten straight cash monies back at Rite-Aid in the last few months. I think with taking multiple stacking types of Qs(Manu or IPs, AdPerks, $x off $x total IPs, In-ad Store, Wellness, & now Game of Life Qs)Rite-Aid by far can be more lucrative than the others. Heck, I've used 3 times the number of Qs as items in an order at Rite-Aid and it's all perfectly ok with the store. I just stay out of the negative at the register when paying. Going negative(which I could very easily do most transactions)is something they can't handle.lol
Add in that I have 2, count 'em 2 Rite-Aids nearby that are so darn coupon friendly(not like the local Wags and CVS)and I'm just living in high cotton!
The FINAL Monthly January SCR Period OOP(before rebates)is.....$70.20
Money I am getting back--
Single Check Rebates qualified for(both persons)......$76.48
Other Rebates qualified for with Rite-Aid Purchases(Kraft,Olays, Lotions).....$91.23
Game of Life Winnings.....$2.00(well, at least it's something!lol)
Rite-Aid Gift Card.....$5.00
Visa Prepaid Cards.....$50.00
A total of $169.71 Cash and $55 in Rite-Aid Gift/Visa Cards.
That's a $99.51 MONEYMAKER for January!
Plus $55 in Gift/Visa Cards.
And my guesstimate, if all the excess I purchased sells at the flea market, there will be another $150 ready cash to add to my Total profit for Jan.
Sluggy
The deals you did on Saturday are these deals going on from this Sunday the 24 throught 30.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS!!
I love hearing about these deals, by all means post away! =)
ReplyDeleteilja,
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the deals here are from last week...Rite-Aid ads run Sunday to Saturday.
I don't seem many deals I am interested in this week at Rite-Aid. I will probably do the BOGO Nature's Bounty Vitamin/Supplement deal(IPQ Qs,AdPerk Qs) and maybe the Maybelline Deal(40% off, $1/1 ManuQ & AdPerks Q).
THANKS!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I tried the Nature's Bounty deal with 2 $5 IP coupons on vitamins that were $4.99 (to get the overage on my other purchases) and they told me that they could not use both because that would make the purchase go in the negative. Has this been the case with your deals Slugmama?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous-When the coupon(s) value is more than the item value it's a YMMV situation. Though the register probably won't beep on these Qs, whether you get to use Qs that go over the actual price of the item is up to your cashier. But by all means don't end your total transaction in the negative because they totally won't let that happen!
ReplyDeleteNow did you get 2 $4.99 vitamins with a BOGO sale(meaning you only paid $4.99 for both)? In that case instead of using 2 $5Qs you should have used 1 $5 or 1 $4 Q. Being 1 cent over(using a $5Q when your total was $4.99)is alot different than being $5.01 over(using 2 $5Qs on a $4.99 total). I don't doubt the cashier wouldn't use both Qs in that case.
Last week I used the AdPerks Bayer Qs($2 off)on the $1.99 Bayer on sale. I had no problem using those Qs. Of course, I didn't go to the RA with the evil cashier and buy any.lol
If you know your cashier is going to give you grief, try a $5 and a $4 or something and then buy enough other items to use a $x off an $xx order Q to cover that extra couple of $s the Qs on the vitamins didn't cover.
I'm going to buy 2 chewable Vitamin Cs(reg. $9.99)so my total on the vitamins will be $9.99. I'll try to use 2 $5 coupons and see what happens. If that's a 'no go', I'll use 1 $5 and 1 $4...or 1 $5 & since I can use the Wellness Qs, I'll use 2 $2/1 any Vitamin purchase Qs, making it $9 off in that combo. I'll have enough other items to use a $5 off $20 or such so that extra $.99 will be covered by that.
Now I have been able to use multiple Qs on an item and get more than the price of the item off my purchase...in one case I even asked if I could do that and was told yes. Again, this was a particular stores manager's interpretation of policy so I wouldn't think every store would do this.
I know....this is clear as mud.lol
LOLOL! Believe it or not I followed you (after reading it over again =) You're right it's up to the cashier, I got away with it with one but not a different one. I might try it with the smaller values ones to not raise any eyebrows! Btw the Natures Bounty count towards SCR #552, free $15 Rite Aid card too, right? Double dip!!

ReplyDeleteYep....the NB vitamins/supplements go toward #552.
ReplyDeleteHere's a way to get to that Gift Card for almost free....
1 transaction of 4 bottles of $10.29 and 2 bottles of $5.19 Vitamins(during the BOGO sale), subtotal of $25.77. Use a $5 off $25(or $5 off $20)Q, any combination of Nature's Bounty Qs that add up to $20(4 x $4Qs & 2 x $2, etc.)and pay $.77 OOP.
Repeat this transaction.
You pay a total of $1.54 OOP for both tranactions, get 12 bottles of Vitamins and since you 'purchased' a total of $51.54 in NB vitamins, qualify for a $25 Gift Card.
Rite-Aid is awesome! ;-)
