If you pay to have skin tags removed or do it yourself, they will probably come back--according to the internet which we know is always true.

Sluggy,
I think you deserve a little sympathy right now. The pre-op schpiel from the doctor included encouraging me to get a piece of equipment that would basically cool my foot after surgery instead of me trying to put ice on it. What they told me was that I could pay the $200 for it in cash up front or I could choose to have it submitted to my insurnace company, which would most likely not cover it and then I'd owe $1000. I realize in the scope of foot surgery, this little piece of equipment and the $200 was probably sort of trivial, but it really pissed me off that I was pretty much over a barrel and had to pay the $200 without really knowing if it would be covered or not. So not only do I agree that the health insurance system is broken, but I see a number of these side charges where your choice isn't really a choice as being a real case of adding insult to injury.

Today I'm trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey with a Holter monitor strapped all over my front. This to see if my heart palpitations are worth worrying about or not. And I don't know if the monitor will be covered by insurance, which -- ironically -- stresses me out and makes the palpitations worse :)I'mSoPrettyhttp://ifartfairydust.comnoreply@blogger.com
