Charlie Kirk was all about non-violence and civil discourse. I tired a similar track after the last presidential election with three, I thought, levelheaded bloggers. I tried to engage them in civil discourse in their comments section, trying to bring our country together.
And it got me nowhere. I got shot down, figuratively, by their commenters, to go away, any thing I had to say was not welcomed. I lost that day what I assumed were 3 blogger friends.
Let's all pray for Charlie's family and our country.
Sluggy
I've been praying for his family and our country since yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI've had to back away from a few people after the election because they stopped talking to family that voted a different way, wished death on the president and many other things that I do not understand and it's very sad to me.
Letting politics come between you and people that care for you is insane. I can care for someone and not agree with all of their political beliefs but many can't.
God bless those babies, they have to go forward without their daddy. Just so sad.
ReplyDeleteSuch a man of God.
Prayers for sure
ReplyDeleteSo very sad and tragic. No one deserves to be killed just because they have other beliefs. It’s just wrong. My heart goes out to his widow and two children.
ReplyDeleteI may disagree with his politics but violence is never the answer.
ReplyDeleteI did not know who he was, but I never agree with violence in any form.
