We have ‘lost’ animals all the time because they’re not taken care of properly. Many, many times, animals are turned back in to be adopted again. We used to volunteer at our shelter. It really does break your heart. It doesn't seem like there is a need for more dog breeding. Many chihuahuas from California are flown to Seattle shelters for hopefully a better chance for adoption. On my trip back from Hawaii, 7 shelter dogs were flown to Seattle (Alaska Airlines flies them free on your ticket) to a dog rescue in hopes of having a better chance of adoption. For dog lovers there are many ways to help homeless dogs. I'm going to be very outspoken here and tell you our shelters are FULL of chihuahuas. I believe all the chihuahua love came from the Taco Bell dog years ago, but it's absolutely heartbreaking to see so many needing homes and knowing that not all of them will get a new home.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1611711622146875201.post-89104227433610568492018-06-09T19:30:25.498-04:002018-06-09T19:30:25.498-04:00Yes, traveling and my furniture is the reason why ...Yes, traveling and my furniture is the reason why I won't get a cat after mine was put to sleep. Second is the travel issue. We haven't been away on a family vacation, (all 3 of us) in probably 6 years because I don't trust anyone to care for my pets the way I do. And the cost of having someone take care of them can be high. That being said, if I knew I never wanted to go anywhere ever again, lol, I would become a foster parent for dogs, (or puppies) until they could find forever homes. Yes, it's crazy. Sometimes I wish I had a farm. Not sure my neighbors or the POA would appreciate me having a bunch of dogs, but if I could, I would.Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15328674280714013955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1611711622146875201.post-9319921363993172022018-06-09T14:47:02.558-04:002018-06-09T14:47:02.558-04:00Yes, but if it makes you happy, you don't need...Yes, but if it makes you happy, you don't need permission.
