I vacuum seal them 2 pounds per bag for long term storage, but also have a few pounds in ziplock bags (reusable) My shopping list this week is cheese. It is currently $1.49 per 8 ounce block and I will most likely buy at least a dozen.Anne in the kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01533249631969001657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1611711622146875201.post-70820823236624523902015-06-25T13:43:14.745-04:002015-06-25T13:43:14.745-04:00I totally agree with you and I loves me some chees...I totally agree with you and I loves me some cheese.Out My windowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456481267171643227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1611711622146875201.post-8407833278538789242015-06-25T13:32:46.565-04:002015-06-25T13:32:46.565-04:00Yep, we have done it with our butter. A little butter makes everything taste better. Same thing with organic chicken recently. Marked down to $1.09 per pound. We loaded up! Filled half of our freezer and it is the best chicken known to man. So, absolutely - if had the room, used it frequently, and not on a credit card - it be in my frigefrator!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02863887265545701157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1611711622146875201.post-67843445693380902492015-06-25T10:37:01.381-04:002015-06-25T10:37:01.381-04:00Yes, I would certainly allow for an increase in my...Yes, I would certainly allow for an increase in my food budget to save later on...buy low, doncha' know? We do this constantly. When things like cheese are rock bottom, there is usually a limit of say, 2 per visit. Well, we might go daily for the duration of the sale, then not purchase that item again until it hits rock bottom. A pain? Perhaps, but then we can go weeks at a time without shopping at all if there is nothing to be had at the prices we will pay. Those weeks, the food budget $ rolls into savings, where it stays.
