  4. I do live Christmas when it is not over the top commercialized. I love the good cheer and goodwill that is displayed. I live the opportunity to spread good cheer with small gifts.

  6. Very nice boxes!!

I wrote of one tradition at our house in the other post, so here's another!

Traditions are evolving as our four daughters have grown up. My oldest creates art and items that she sells at various venues across our metro area. Her biggest sale period is the holidays. My husband and I and our other daughters try to get to as many of her sales as we can. The one we were at today was so festive and fun. We brought from our daughter (she would give us items, but we insist!) And we've also shopped from other artisans for those on our list. In general, I'm actually not much of a shopper, but like to buy useful, unique items for gift giving, while supporting artists like my daughter. I may or may not find the right something for someone, but it's a fun adventure!

  7. Chocolates rule in box 1 but my daughter just commented she needs a new hairbrush. Big dilemma but chocolate wins.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I like the second box best, mostly because I feel like I am forever buying shampoo!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm all about those razors! My favorite holiday is New Years Day, since I can start using a brand new budget binder.

  18. I enjoy Christmas so much I left my two little trees up all year. lol. My husband thought it was crazy but I took the Christmasy stuff off and just left some gold decorations and lights on one tree and red on the other. They are in the "family" room off the living room and we enjoy the lights almost every night. Take care.

  19. Both boxes have great stuff for stocking stuffers.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I love Xmas! In my new - very tiny - NYC place I am still finding the best way to decorate.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Box 1 for sure :) Christmas traditions include: Christmas Eve matching PJ's and watching Christmas movies as a family. This will be the first year with Daughter out on her own and not home :( tebblestearns@yahoo.com Tebble

  22. Chocolate and makeup goodies! What a great combination. You always give the best boxes. I would like to start experimenting again with makeup. As a girl my mom never wore makeup (now she does) and I have only rarely worn it. Usually eyeshaddow, lip stuff, things like that. My 20 year old grand daughter drags me to ULTA with her everytime she gets here to visit. That store is SCARY. lol. I prefer makeup in small doses. Thanks for the amazing giveaways. Take care.

  23. I’m also curious about the charcoal toothpaste in box #1. Haven’t been curious enough to buy it yet but I bet it would be good for some funny pictures.

  28. My youngest is coming home from college this weekend so next week her and I will be decorating everything. She didn't want me to do it without her. I am done with gifts and I just have to put bows on everything.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Finishing decorating (after I dust today) and running a few last minute errands for presents since my husband is tied up in his office all day I can get out on my own. We don't do a lot for Christmas but I do like a few surprises and tricks up my sleeve. lol. Take care.

  38. Sending a box for my grand daughter today then I hope to see the last of the P.O. lines until after Christmas. Ooops... shouldn't have said that out loud. lol. Decorating done yesterday and that meant dusting was done in that area of the house. So a win for sure. Take care.

  41. A fun Christmas tradition: my friend hosts an annual "Cookie Day" where about eight of us moms get together with all of our kids and spend the entire day baking. We make hundreds of cookies. At the end of the day everyone takes home a huge assortment for parties and gifts. It's great!

  51. I went to a work holiday auction today and won $120 worth of gift certificates for $50! People were bidding way too high on the other items so stuck with the one good deal. I know it was for charity but they paid more than the value of the prize in many cases.

  53. My husband just told me we are invited to a Christmas Open house Sunday afternoon! Whoo Hoo. Is it weird that I get so excited about an invitation. Oh, and I told my husband I think we broke our friends - It is the 13th of Dec. already and we haven't received even one Christmas Card. Hmmm.... maybe cards are a thing of the past???

    ReplyDelete
  54. I used to have a Jewish boyfriend and I discovered the magic of Hanukkah! It was so fun getting to celebrate (and EAT, haha) for eight straight days.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Looking forward to a Christmas Eve or Christmas Eve Day Church service. Even if our Church doesn't want to do one we just find another local Church and head over. That and seeing the lights on a trip around where we live to see the lights is fun.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'd love to try that Yardley lavendar soap. I love fancy soap but it's one of those things I never splurge on for myself.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Best part of Christmas Day is my mother in law’s lasagna. She makes a giant vegan one just for us and sends home all the leftovers. No one else will try it so lunch and dinner are covered for several days!

    Jen G.

  58. Got the smaller Christmas tree up and decorated, it's always fun to see all the ornaments and how the tree turns out. Thanks for the fun giveaway!

  59. I remember Christmas eve 1992. I attended midnight mass. Well surprise surprise! We had an unexpected snowfall of 3-4 inches. The lawn was green when we entered an a blanket of white when we exited... in Alabama at that. It was also the day my dean signed my graduation diploma!

  60. We go to my mom's house for Christmas Eve and it is my favorite day of the year. After stuffing ourselves with her delicious food we open presents. Then we go to our church's Christmas Eve service which is special and relaxing. Then it's home to collapse and get tucked in before Santa arrives!

  61. One thing I always hope for on Christmas Day is for the weather to be dry so children can ride their new bikes on Christmas Day. I suppose kids in the North wish for snow for their new sleds.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I’ve been prepping for the work holiday people. I have no idea what they do in this department so I made lotion bars and Rice Krispie treats. Hopefully they don’t do presents because I haven’t shopped for any of them. I only have two direct reports and they’re getting gift cards.

  63. Both boxes look like great prizes. I love this time of year especially because of seeing my kids in their various concerts, plays, etc. Last night we had the boys' choir concert, tomorrow night is Rebecca's choir concert and on Wednesday is Jacob's school concert. I love seeing my kids do things they love.

  64. The box with all the ELF brushes would be great for me! I love Christmas, but we also celebrate the solstice and the count down to lighter days ahead. It's also the 2nd anniversary of my dear friends passing. She was of the Jewish faith so in her memory I will light a candle, not a true menorah, for her.

  65. Both boxes are great! My new tradition this year seems to be eating. All. The. Food!

  66. Whoo Hoo! Got my first Christmas Card of the season this morning at Church. You can always count on the older ladies of the Church to keep up with their traditions. I was wondering as it is the 15th and not one card in sight and this year I actually sent some!

  67. Wishing your family a Merry Christmas! Thanks for hosting this give a way!

  68. We celebrate Christmas. Our biggest tradition is opening pjs on Christmas Eve, changing into them and turning off all of the lights but the holiday lights and just sitting for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I would love to win box #2. I celebrate Christmas but I guess you could say a somewhat scaled down version, meaning I don’t go over the top...I love Christmas music and enjoy picking out gifts for people, just kind of shy away from overly commercialized Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  70. The makeup and the makeup brushes would be nice. Have a Happy Holiday! Thanks for all the giveaways this year!

    ReplyDelete
  71. I would be beyond thrilled with either box. Chocolate sounds great this time of year! Merry Christmas!
