I'm Still Here!

But I am barely hanging on at the moment.
Go me! lolz

Since taking half of October off I am pedaling as fast as I can(which doesn't seem to be very fast actually lolz), trying to catch up on little stuff like paying bills, financial paperwork, cleaning the house, planning and implementing meals, getting Chester to the vet, changing out the wardrobe, changing out room curtains, etc.
You know..little stuff like that. ;-)

I'm currently working on packing up the Giveaway boxes to ship off on Monday, then I'll be cleaning up the dining room(packing central), going through giveaway prizes that are left, packing up a food bank donation and a Sallie's donation.
I haven't done any genealogy is a good month or other fun stuff and I don't have any blog posts written up other than the Monday Menu one and now it's almost November so I need to write up my Food Shopping and Income/Spending Report for October now too. eek!
And I have tons of photos from the trips to go through(plus last Summers trip which I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN TOO).  *sigh*

So I am slowwwwwlyy getting things done here and getting back to normal.

While I get back up to speed why don't y'all tell me(and each other)about what's going on in your lives.

Sluggy

  1. My driveway is finally finished Woo Hoo! It came out great. Paid for it in full since we don't use credit cards anymore. Looking to get my youngest a new to her car. The one she was driving turned into a money pit so we sold it.

    1. Well come over here if you want rainy, sleety, snowy and crap weather. It's been in the 40's to 30's for the last 4 days. ;-)

Did you stay up to 3 am the other night watching the WS? lolz

  4. Let's see...my oldest turned 17 on Thursday (yikes!) and that same day I got called about a job interview and I found out i won Sluggy's giveaway! It was a great day. Friday I interviewed and got the job, just part time but every little bit helps. Saturday woke up sick with a sinus thing and to the horrible news of the Squirrel Hill shootings, which was less than an hour away from my house. Too close to home. If it happened there, it really can happened anywhere. Today I feel a little better, grabbed a few groceries and trying to get the house in order. Tuesday is hubby's birthday. Halloween looks like a washout. Free tacos at Taco Bell on Nov 1, thanks to a stolen base in the World Series.

    1. Congrats on the job!
The shooting hit home here as well....my eldest son lived across Frick Park from Squirrel Hill for 3 years before moving to F'burg in VA.
      Happy Bday to your Hubby!

  5. I’ve spent the entire day cleaning the basement. I shuffled storage totes around and rearranged the stockpile. The shelves were wiped down in the process, the floor was swept, junk went in the thrift store pile and a few other things went into the consignment pile. We have enough brownie mixes to get my husband through the Winter while I have enough fiber one bars to last maybe two years! No complaints here!

  6. Since I have not been able to get back to normal I decided to rethink things. The result of my thinking was deciding normal is highly overrated.

  10. Hi Sluggy this is Chris. I wasn't able to comment until today, b/c we have been watching our little granddaughter while her parents went on a trip to Italy. We had a great time with her, although we are tired. It is a good tired. I was grateful hubby was able to take the week off to help. Her parents had a great time on their trip. This week it is back to our usual routine.

  11. We've been getting small things done around the house. I m SO behind in cleaning.. I've been sick and when that happens everything just goes to pot. I'm going to try this week to get some cleaning done. Already got my laundry done today so thats out of the way. Then of course it's nearing the beginning of a new month so tonight I sat down and planned meals for November and made a food shopping list. Going to get busy at the end of the week, it always does in the beginning of the month so not sure how much cleaning I can get done but I'm going to try :)
