Well we've got the tree up but not decorated.  I've got a card list but nothing written up or address. All but 2 presents bought(and that is happening this week)but nothing wrapped and/or mailed.

I got a flu shot and a pneumonia shot on Wednesday and the flu shot gave me some flu symptons so I didn't feel like cooking on Thursday and nobody wanted leftover Thanksgiving food so it was Domino's pizza night using part of one of those Dollar General deal gift cards I got last month.

5 meals cooked at home, 2+ of them nights of leftovers, and 2 nights of Take-Out.

As for the grocery spending.....1 trip to Boyer's, 1 trip to the Bread Outlet and 1 trip to the Shursave market to use my $10 Reward chit brought my weekly spending to $54.75 and brings my December food spending Total to $54.75 so far this month. 26 Days left to spend in December.

My savings percentages this week was 59.81%.

Leftovers going into this week.......potato rolls, cranberry glop, stroganoff, rice, meatloaf, and pizza.

Here is this week's "food plan".

3. Tuesday--Grilled leftover Meatloaf, Broccoli,(Box Mac and Cheese for BF)

5. Thursday--Chicken Soup using Leftover Roast Chicken, Grilled Cheese Sammies

What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?

Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten last week?

Any great deals on food at your stores this week?

  1. Megan is leaving today for her big Texas trip. While she's away, hubby and I will be eating things that she doesn't like, starting with gyros from the Mediterranean Sandwich Shop and then maybe some Mexican food! As for getting a flu shot, I have never had one. The other girls at work got theirs and they all came down with flu symptoms. Two had their symptoms go away, but one got really sick. I hope you're feeling better by now.

  2. We have a menu plan for the week. My plan is usually to cook extra over the weekend, and have mostly leftovers during the week. It's a bit boring, but helps ensure we don't eat out. Menu for this week is: leftover risotto, tacos, leftover naan pizza, grilled chicken & rice, fish & pesto pasta.

  3. We will be eating from our pantry and freezer. I have pizza crust frozen so we will do that one night this week. Another night will be ham and eggs. We have been good about not going out to eat even though Hubby has been coming in late from jury duty. But we might go out one night this week. We will see.
Tonight is leftover hot dogs and coleslaw.

  5. Simple meals and no eating out is on the menu. There was a hamburger/sloppy joe meal deal-free buns, chips, and managing so that will be two meals and a couple portions of meat to freeze. I prefer my sloppy Joes but Hubs and daughter think manwhich is restaurant style treat.
