  1. My last week sounds like your last week. This week does not look promising. I am getting a little tired of fruit, yogurt cheese and crackers.

  3. Boiled peanuts are amazing. Used to pick them from the garden, boil them in a crock pot all day and watch Atlanta Braves games with my grandaddy. LOVE them.

  4. I tried a boiled peanut and had to spit it into my hand. The texture and taste were gross to me.

  5. Well, NOW I've put Hot boiled peanuts on my menu... I've never had them, but I'm a huge peanut fan, so I may have to try them out the next and first sign I see! None in Iowa unfortunately. and it's too early for Sweetcorn on the street corners.

  6. I don't think I've ever had "boiled" peanuts. We have blanched peanuts here and roasted peanuts but not boiled. Now I am wondering how they taste. I had my crockpot going on the weekend, it was that cold out!

  7. Boiled peanuts are a southern thing I guess. There are roadside produce stands all over that have a big old pot simmering waiting on buyers. They are made with green peanuts, water and an unholy amount of salt. I am not a big fan of them, but I don't like a lot of salt on anything. TheHub loves them and gets them just about every time we pass a place that sells them.

  8. I've never heard of boiling peanuts, but I like most so I bet they are tasty. Leftovers tonight-no extra kid as she stayed an extra day with her parents and then the poor thing got sick. Two soccer games this week, so probably some pizza on the run, and maybe I'll do another pot of soup for the last little chill.
