  1. Garden? What garden? I still have 12 huge tomato plants to put into the ground, 3 squash, and lots of seeds. I am going to get blackberries from the market and probably some tomatoes this week.

  2. This year I did not grow my own veggies but I visit a Local Farm shop for all our produce. They have great prices and the most amazing tasting veggies! I love all in season veggies and look forward to each season. Next month I will start receiving my veggie box of the month. The company we picked will be including recipe cards every week which is a great way to learn to cook with things I normally do not use.

  3. Well, we had a garden but due to all of the rain the south has received the garden drowned. We have six tomato plants that are hanging on for dear life. We were able to get some squash, zucchini, about eight bell peppers, eight cucumbers, and a few tomatoes. We are trying to decide if we want to replant this weekend. We love sauteed squash, zucchini, and onions.

  4. Well, I just moved to a new place. No garden here. We did visit a fresh produce stand and bought some local corn. It was delicious. We also got some nice peaches.

  5. I learned that I can grow dill with the best of them. LOL I'm not talking about the tomatoes.

  6. I pulled the weeds from my garden and now it's all bare dirt. I never DID get any seeds planted... Maybe next year!
Is it too late for greenbeans?

  7. We don't really have room for much of a garden. We do have a large deck so we are able to do a little container gardening. My husband planted slicing tomatoes. I planted two varieties of cherry tomatoes (one red and the other yellow). This summer I have been using them in an Ina Garten recipe for Summer Garden Pasta Not only is it delicious it is no cook! I guess this really isn't a recipe as much as it is a suggestion. You can use what ever type of tomatoes you have on hand. I hope you give it a try.

  9. I have tomato plants in containers. I ate my first 'mater this week. It was yummy and I hope there are many more. If I get enough, I'm gonna can some. I might try to make some sun dried 'maters too. We have the sun part down here in CA.

  10. I'm back. Poor you!
I need to weed my garden bad and the dill is taking over. Den is just itching to cut it down. It is getting a bit out of control. Don't tell him I said that. I just want to make pickle.

  12. I took stock of my frozen fruit and have NO blackberries! Since Hubby had foot surgery a couple of weeks ago, we really can't go pick any. Oh, he would if I would let him. Maybe we will get some before the season is over.

Sure wish I could grow them.

  13. Both of my parents loved to garden. Mother focused on flowers while Daddy took care of trees, a small veg garden and many, many blackberry plants. He grew a variety called Olallieberry or sometimes known as Marionberries. My daughter was one of those black hair and nails "Goth" teenagers. She never went in the sun! Well wouldn't you know it. She turned out to be the newest gardener in the family! She still tries not to get any sun. She raises both flowers and vegetables. In April her home was part of a garden tour. My parents would be so proud!

  14. Since I live in farm territory I don't have a need for a garden. I just go down the block and buy whatever is in season. This week we're enjoying zucchini. I enjoy using it in a frittata! Yum.

I gave you a tweet. Would that count?
