  1. I investigate my genealogy because I wonder where my ancestors came from. Some come from North Carolina near Mt. Airy and have huge ears like Andy Griffith. One actually looks like him! Mama told me the first thing she did when she was handed each of us as newborns was to check our ears. She said she was always relieved to see that they lay flat. At the time she told me this, I had never seen pictures of her aunts and uncles. the Andy Griffith look-alike came into my view only a few years ago.

  3. Ignore Mark. I want the magnet!!!
According to my mom, somewhere in our family tree - probably the branch that's mingling with another tree... I'm supposedly a distant cousin of Amelia Earhardt... My husband is related to a duke or something that was kicked out of England for sleeping with a kings daughter. Is THAT famous?

  4. Sluggy I have no clue about my family tree. I guess that is something I need to work
    own in the near future.

  5. My dad has done a lot of genealogical research.I would have to go look at the info he sent me, but there traced his family back pretty far. I think the most interesting ancestors were the "notorious Luttrell family". There is a lot of info on the Luttrell family here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luttrellstown_Castle

    They are my dad's ancestors.

  8. I am really needing that Benadryl. Our weather in the south is crazy. One day it is 80 degrees and the next it is 58 degrees.
