Technology Shmechnology!

Well it's confirmed by an independent source.
My computer is gone.

Gosh I hate when that happens.

Even worse is the fact that I hadn't backed up a few things before it rolled over and died.
Like some emails with CSN gift codes I had won in giveaways & hadn't used yet!
Ugh!!!

I am using Hubs machine which is a dinosaur and it is throwing me so far off my game it isn't funny.
I feel like Alice swirling around down a rabbit hole....up is down and down is up.
I feel all off-kilter and topsy-turvy.

And I can't access my email program either.

Add in that I can't upload photos to my blog or to my eBay listings, which I really need to be writing and uploading.
Since I can't tend to eBay properly until I get a new machine, I have to shut down my store there....right in the middle of the high selling season!
Double Ugh!!!!!

And I just feel miserable.
It's so bad.......I don't even want to go to Rite-Aid!
Yep....that's bad.....

So somebody leave me some happy comments please?
I can use some uplifting words...like now! ;-)

  2. Wow - even a trip to RA doesn't do it for you - that's bad! I really hope you get a new computer and feel loads better very soon!!! At least this seems to be a really good time of year to find techno bargains, so hopefully that will help keep costs down on your replacement machine :)

I'm slightly amazed you don't have enough Up Rewards to buy a laptop at Rite Aid... ;)

  4. Oh, I feel for you. I need to back things up too--just never think to do it until it's too late. Want to come stay in the RV? I know it won't fix your computer woes but I'd cook for you!!! Take care.

  5. You shouldn't have lost those emails. Once you get into your email program, they should be there. Well, unless your email is 100% resident on your computer. If that is the case, you should be using Yahoo or GMail.

Can your "independent source" pull the data off your hard drive?

    You look pretty today.

  8. If it makes you feel any better (it probably won't), I have some things listed on eBay and no one is even looking at them, let alone buying them. So maybe you aren't missing any sales after all. (See, I told you it wouldn't help.)

I'm horrible about backing up my computer. As in, I think I've done it once since I got my first computer 10 years ago. Oddly enough, it wasn't the photos I was afraid of losing when our computer was down a couple of weeks ago. It was my Budget program and MP3 files.

I should probably back those up pronto, huh?

  9. Hi Slugmama,

A young lady like you can find a computer deal. Search for a deal or better yet, maybe Santa will bring a new one. I hear you on the antique. That is what DH is working on.
